Question i have is, if you book a duo, say, deep dish or above & beyond and only one of them can show up, is it half price or it doesnt' mmatter?

another question, how much is it to book DJ Luxor? I heard he's phenominal and charges astronomical fee.

Did bas mention we're a duo?

Yes. Airfare and hotel is covered by the promoters.

It depends the DJ and the venue as well as age restrictions and alcohol permits. It can range anywhere from a thousand dollars (keep dreaming you wont book Deep Dish for this) to a hundred thousand dollars.

Paul Oakenfold, for example, made 75 000 to play Celebration in Montreal and had his contract include a private jet to NYC to make another 75 000 at another club. What a life eh...

can someone give an example??
say I wanted to book the following dj's on a typical friday or saturday at Avalon or Ruby skye how much would they cost?

Sasha-?
Armin-?
DJ Dan-?
Pual Van Dyk-?

any guess?

PvD def played in SF many times but Id say its a close 2nd NY. He was a resident at Twilo for a few years and he still plays there every few months.

For highest paid? My guess is Tiesto

I mean as of late. PvD didn't play in SF for like over a year at one point until he played last September the night of Love Parade. And has been here a bunch since.

Tiesto took in 80 grand for the 2 nights at Avalon this year...

But you can always enquire from their booking agents, they usually post that info on their web pages, and you would be surprised sometimes you might be able to get a great deal.

What I would do is find out their schedule and try to book one of the good ones when they are in the states, you would get a better deal that way, but would have to spend more on promotion given that you probably will not have enough time for marketing, but than again bigger the name less promo needed.

A friend of mine was able to book Core Fijneman 3 years ago for $2500 plus travel

Good luck
exergo
it varies with club size. for a place with around 800 capacity, these are my guesses...

sasha - 15k
seb fontaine - 8k
christopher lawrence - 10k
teisto - 25k
pvd - 20k
avb - 15k
dj hyper - 5k
junkie XL - 10k
danny t - 20k
rank1- 6k

clubs with 3,000+ capacity, probably double those fees.

new years eve is a whole other beast.

i still find it odd that i can see radiohead for $40, but a club/promoter charges $30 to see some guy play records....lol
