i am shocked by brazil's early exit with everyone else. i know they have been a little "lackadasical" the past couple of days. i guess they were a little too relaxed today against france, and france made them pay for being lazy. history shows lazy teams never win at the end of a big tournament like the world cup.
as for england, i have mixed opinions about their exit. there's one side i am pissed at the english bloke who tried to kick the portuguese player in the groin. then there's another side of me that really liked the way the english held themselves together after the red card, and running almost 1 hour 1 man behind. the way they went more of a defensive stance, rather than trying to shoot shoot shoot is a pretty good team. then again, portugal did outplay england to a tad bit. congrats to portugal for their awesome saves. |
