The first track he dropped was worth 15$
It was worth 30$
That was the sickest darkest scariest track I have heard in a long time. It belonged in a horror movie soundtrack.
***dial*tone*** "If you'd like to make a call, please hang up and try again"
Dark deep and haunting. Pure Lawler...nobody else plays music like his...
The rest of the set was class. Absolutely flawless mixing and programming. Builds and drops were huge.
I hope the Lawler n00bs had a good time.
And whoever says Lawler doesnt play tribal was not at avalon at 2:20am
Funny, there was a guy who looked exactly like Andy Moor rocking out in the middle of the floor all night...I mean carbon copy, same clothing style and everything. |

What about me Clovis???? I came and hung out with you during the deep, dirty, dark sesh of the Lawler set. I even rubbed my bumb doing a clovis freak nasty dance...............LOL
Where's the love? I had such a good time last night, so packed and I loved seeing all the peeps last night..............Lex, Clovis, Bas, Bunny, Sara and who ever else there getting down!! The vibe at Avalon was great escept for the cracked out asian fight like 4 am in the middle of the dancer floor!! WTF!! Dance and be respectful, don't be a douchebag.............

Ya!!!! I remember that tune, it was sick!!!! He played so many mind-ing tracks! I heard he was supposed to play till 5am though. He only played for 2 hrs. :sadgreen: Lawler is a soooo cool too! Thanks again, Sarah, for dragging him down to come talk to me! ;)
The music was so good ALL NIGHT. I couldn't stop dancing. From Justin, John Do, and that other dude (who was he?)... to Sean Miller... to Steve ing Lawler, and back to Justin, John & that dude. I was so happy to see that AHP didn't ruin the night as they usually do!
Nice seeing everyone and meeting a couple new TA's. :gsmile: |

ey there r a few trax that definitely need IDing....
but honestly 2 hours thats all he was up there for....? wtf is up with that......
Lawler had a very proggy set most of the way thru mixing in and out thru some sick tribal and his usual head-banging,minding,dark tunes.....overall great vibe and good times.....
nice 2 meet a couple of new faces also.......

i had a great time at avalon last night thanks to 3 things: 1) the music was off the hook from the moment i stepped inside until the moment i left, 2) no line! i literally walked up to the bouncer and walked right in, 3) the best avalon crowd i've experienced, not too crowded to move around and a healthy dancer/washer ratio. as always it was fun seeing all the lata progheads: clovis, bas, bunny, julia, simon, tigo, des, drew, thrax, sarah, gpc, gpc's girl, pig, and anyone else i left out!
lawler started off really dark and had me goin nuts thinkin: ok if this is just the first hour and he's building off this... where is he headed??? :eyespop: unfortunately the beats didn't get any more menacing as the first hour... i wanted more lawler from that vid clovis posted, that's kind of what i was expecting/hoping for :\ still, he laid down a very solid prog set filled with delicious bassline after delicious bassline, so i can't really complain.
