Did Franz Beckenbauer scored the 2 goals by himself???
Sweden lost the game in the first 12 minutes. They had no confidence at all and had no chance against Germany. We controlled the game all the time!
And you can discuss about the yellow card, but it was a stupid action from him. He pulled Klose's shirt and it is an official rule from the FIFA that you got a yellow card for that.
And come on, you don't think that Sweden would have come back into the game with 11 players???
And talking about the ref -> the penalty kick was a generous decision from the referee. It wasn't a clear penalty kick. And Larsson wasn't able to score!
Sweden would have never won this game, even with 11 players!!! |

u know i never really liked the german team all that much but after today, they are officially my most hated team and i hope argentina puts them back in the hole they belong in when its QF time.
Podolski's a fukin ****, ive seen referees smile when dismissing players before but I have never seen a player pat the ref on his back and applause him for doing that and then shoooting at goal when theres a player from the opposition down in front of you.
Germany are playing well, very well actually but their attitude today seemed like they think they are the gods of the world cup. Obviously all the home support has made this team smug and as much as I hate argentina , i hope they pop their bubbly so bad, the echo never goes of. |

Ballack had like 9 shots on goal, and even though the statistics doesn't always say how the game was, Germany had 25 shots in this game.
But this time, it actually did say how the game was.
Impressive. |

Uhm...it's interesting that the player who was down jumped up extremely fast after the shot was made! He wasn't seriously injured and wasn't treated by medicals afterwards!
And sorry...fair play is good and important, but we are at the world cup and the germans had the ball 20m in front of the swedish goal... Should a team waive a goal just because a player went down?

Come on. Our team don't think they are the "gods of the world cup". Also they haven't made any bad fouls yet or did any terrible actions.
We didn't score a goal like Crouch from England who pulled the hair of his defender. And we didn't crush our elbows into the opponent like de Rossi from Italy did.
All we do is tryiing to be good hosts for all the fans from around the world and it looks like most guests enjoy it here!
And our team is not only very successful but is playing good football for the first time since 1996. So let the team and the german fans enjoy their team and this world cup... |

I never said germany are playing dirty football, its the lack of sportsmanship that I was ranting about.

World Cups anywhere in Europe always have the best atmosphere. I do applaud what germany has done as a host. The make beleive stadiums you guys have created are an amazing idea. Makes it every bit as good for ppl who have gone without any tickets to any games.

Right now we have the problem that TOO MANY people want to watch the games at the public viewing points in the world cup cities. Today they said that 250.000(!!!) people waited outside the public viewing area in Berlin and wasn't allowed to enter because it was too crowded. Here in Hamburgh they closed doors 2 hours before the match.
No one here expected that german people can be so excited about the world cup and our national team. Like people all around the world we are surprised of ourselves that we can be such a party nation and so emotional about soccer.
Together with the millions of fans from around the world, german cities look like they've never looked before.

I won't be disappointed. Even that we have home court advantage throughout the tournament, I only hope but don't expect that we reach the final and win the world cup.
At least our team plays good and exciting football now. I've never seen a german team that played so offensive and was so much fun to watch. Together with Argentina and Spain we currently play the best football from all world cup teams. Brasil or Holland have a lot of potential too, but don't play as good as we expected |

Yes, but I think our midfield is the key for the good defense. In most games the opponent had big troubles coming near the goal. As soon as the opponent comes near our half we put a lot of pressure on him. I think that's our key of success.
And of course we are a big threat in front of the opponent's goal! The game against Sweden was decided after 12 minutes. After scoring 2 goals it was obvious that they had a lot of respect for us and were a bit scared. |
