I'm jealous of people who have more skills than I do, not the opposite.
There are people like JZ, Paolo Mojo, Fanciulli, Woolford etc who are pushing themselves to keep the music fresh and interesting, and to further themselves as DJs....those are the guys I'm jealous of, but a good kind of jealousy, because I really admire them. Because for the most part, they put their all into every set...and I think thats what matters most. |

Firstly let gets something straight. I was asked by Pete Tong to do a crazy FX mix which is why there's 20 tracks in 30 mins!!! I totally agree and in actual fact if you listen to one of my mixes from last year you'll hear I used this very quote myself as a sample in the mix. In past year I've used less and less FX in my sets and have been trying hard to work them into the sets where appropriate rather than just bustin them out for the sake of it.
If people don't like the tracks, well that's all really a matter of taste. This is the Trance Addict forum after all and I play little trance and virtually none in this set so I knew it wouldn't go down to well on here. I also didn't think that style of music lended itself to a cut and paste 30 min mash up mix.
I finished a new mix for Diggers show on KIss FM ealier (no fx unit in that one ;) ) so I hope some of you may like it (the last half hour is quite melodic and has Summer feel to it).... Or maybe you'll hate it :lol Anyway, feedback is always welcome. Good or bad...

there wasn't anything fanlike in that comment, but you are still a pathetic elitist, bumming the cool trendhouse, ooh. and i know several of the tunes from there aswell, some are , some are not. no, as clovis said, this is not the worst mix i ever heard, but it's not that good really. it's just too much of everything, now that james explained what he was hired to do i understand why he did it but it's still just too much of everything. |
