These guys really need to watch Bill Hicks Revelations!;)

They were saying on the telly you could blow up the the whole world with 25 billion worth of fireworks, then at least we'd have a party at Armaggedon!

jesus, the cost is associated with cleaning nuclear facilities - it has little to do with nuclear bombs

do some research.

although what i said above was true and is in fact a 3 week old development, apparently a new story broke today about the replacement of the trident missile system. so i take that bit back about doing research and offer my apology.

having said that, replacing the trident system is pretty vital to britain's security. as much of a pacifist as i am - I am also a realist and i believe spending that 25 billion pounds on a new missle delivery ystem is a very good investment for UK.

Yeah every country should have its own missle delivery system, including Iran.

nuclear deterrent is designed exactly because of countries like Iran. UK has never used a nuclear weapon in the half century that it has possessed them, when Ahamdinejad screams about erasing Israel off the map in public forums - i can't say that Iran can be trusted to exercise the same form of restraint.

That is not to say that iran should not be allowed to produce nuclear weapons. Every country should be able to use nuclear power as they see fit; be it military or civlian use. However, being guarded against a possible nuclear monopoly in the hands of fanatics is an obviously sound decision.

why spend that much when u can probably get a particle accelerator for a fraction of that price and ud get alot more devastation with one of them

I'd say equip all the British army soldiers with BFG's. Then we would be like the Americans, just shooting anything that moves, be it friend or foe.
