haha seriously...I dont need to monitor in live, providing I know my tracks well.

I want sasha to go back to CD/vinyl or, put more effort into really making use of ableton.

I got past security and got to the ticketing swine. I told her my name and she pulled out the list, she said I wasn't on the list. I told her I had been confirmed and to check again, so she just glanced at the list for a split second and once again said I wasn't on the list. I got close and looked at the list for myself for about 5 seconds and there was my name, I pointed it out to her as she pulled the list away and she told me that I wasn't on the list and I would have to pay $20. I told her I had just seen my name on the list so why should I pay $20 when the list was for $10. She then said "Pay $20 or leave" I looked her in the eyes and said " YOU" threw my $20 on the floor and walked in.

When I am back there a group that I met in Miami where there. They where so happy to see me and gave me a huge hug. They told me that this is the 12th show they have seen of Ferry. They rented a RV and Traveled the country to see Ferry. Talk about dedication!!

did you ask them which show/venue they thought was best or how much the sets varied between stops?

I have had this on my mind since seeing G&D at EDC...what exactly do they do on Ableton that is so special??? I don't remember hearing anything special being done with Ableton...unlike James Zabiela whom I've seen tear it up with it in the past. Why do G&D use Ableton when they hardly use it to its potential? As a huge fan of theirs, I think its a scam to see them clickin away on the laptop. Drag and drop. Doesn't ableton beatmatch for you? Grrr. I wish peeps still used vinyl sometimes. You can truly appreciate a set when it is flawlessly mixed with vinyl. Skillz.

DJ'ing isn't much about skill either. Especially when the Vinyl consists of another producers track... Ableton, well, gave G&D a chance to do improv live instead of playing a pre-cut track. There you go boss. In my opinion, being a good DJ is a DJ that performs with charisma and creativity, which none of these crappy DJ's did at this rave. Let the flames begin! Plus, reasons for Ableton would have to be the digital sound quality that never distorts as vinyl do. Sasha stopped using vinyl because it skipped out on him and he ended up removing the record from the turntable and threw it up into the air, injuring a fan's head. Anyway, aside from those reasons, G&D blow anyway. But yes, James Zabiela does kick ass. :D

that happened back in 1999, he threw the record up in the air and it landed on a party goer's face and cut her. i don't really feel that's the reason he stopped using vinyl.
