I think it has more to do with low scoring games. Like if a game ends 1-0, it is "boring" for meat-head America.

A conservative publication against "soccer." I don't expect anything else in America. Honestly, I doubt "soccer" will ever catch on with the same passion exhibited around the world. That would be out of its character.

i don't follow your logic, 1-0 is a boring game usually, whats wrong with wanting more goals? how would that change the essence of the game?

why would a score of 4-3 be any less good than 1-0 ?

even the Fifa acknowledge this by "updating" the ball to make it lighter and less predictable.

I've seen some pretty exiting 1-0 games, with plenty of attacks and good defense. Low-scoring games can be full of good play. Remember the Germany-Poland game. The score was 1-0, but was fun to watch nonetheless.

I'm not saying low-scoring games are better to watch than higher-scoring games, but low-scoring games shouldn't be disregarded as boring.

obviously, a 1-0 game can be exciting, even very. But the fact is that most 1-0 games get very boring after that goal... winning team defending and finding every way possible to waste time which imo is a disgrace.

more american bashing on soccer... at least this is from a reasonable 3rd point of view but some of the quotes later on are just kick-in-the-face-able.

Honestly who cares what the americans think? In our countries the whole country stop to watch the world cup.Since the U.S. isn't a futbol nation they won't stop working or take days offs to see their team play. Not to mention that the games are being played real early in the day.

in conclusion: there must be something wrong with america.
