sinus infection from hell

Ok so in April i got a really bad sinus infection. here we are 4 months later and i still ing have it. they have given me all the antibiotics they can think of and it wont go away. luckly i dont get the sinus headache. but i have forgotten what its like to be able to breathe lol. i hate waking up 4 times a night and i hate this whole thing.
im thinking my doctor is a moron and its not a sinus infection but i donno what else it would be. is it normal for sinus infections to last this long? and if not anyone know what else it could be. |

| warm water a bunch of salt in it. Get a huge mouthful (do this in the shower) bend over so your head is completely down and blow all the water out your nose. do a cup or so of that and youll be completely clear |

I had a sinus infection last month. I don't have health insurance so I could only afford standard over the counter decongestant. It lasted for 3 miserable weeks. Sinus headache, swelling/pressure, fever, and lots of coughing and mucus. These things don't go away over night. Btw, you might be just allergic to a type of pollen. In that case antibiotics would have no effect. |

maybe it is bacterial infection? antibiotics wouldn't get rid of a bacterial infection, at least I wouldn't thinkthey would, well maybe they would. I just ask this next question b/c well just b/c. . .. did you ever sniff anything up your know either sharing a straw or using a dollar bill? b/c u could have sifolis(sp?) it's common, but that's all I can think of, I think you should see a nose, ear and throat specialist, and say fuk it to your doctor~! with 4 months of antibitics in your body you're immune system is at a terrible low!

um, thats what antibiotics do.
Antibiotics = antibacterial
maybe you're thinking of a viral infection, which antibiotics won't help.
