SOrry to hear that your night went like that. Sadly, mine was much the same. His set wasnt too bad though, but the employees sucked ass. I got in through the Basic guest list, so it wasnt too bad, but I left early anyways, I just wasnt getting into it.

I had more fun than last Saturday, if that says anything following my review that everyone criticized. Overall, it wasn't bad, but it wasn't amazing, either. I don't know, maybe it's the long sets (4-5 hours), but the past 2 times @ Pacha for Zabs, I end up getting bored by the end. I think that tonight he was playing way too hard throughout the entire night. Cox @ NYE was the same way and we got bored and left that, too. Trainspots in the morning.

had to get up early this mornin so i left around 3am, but i had fun while i was there..opener wasnt too great, zabs came on right before 1am and was his usual, energetic self...

liked his edit of The Church - Under The Milky Way (Lance Cashion Remix), one of the only tracks i recognized...was awesome watchin Max burn up the dancefloor :p dunno if anyone else saw the dance circle he started...anyway, good seein everyone out, was contemplating skippin out on this one but im glad i made it out cause the man doesnt disappoint live

THE DJ:

Set of the year for me.

Here comes a long review. Synopsis: After last night, Zabs has shot to #1 on my list and shall remain until someone else manages to dethrone him.

Banging and relentless, loud and energetic, the music was ridiculous and the man is a master of the controls. I found myself thinking, this is so crazy, it doesn't even make any sense. I haven't danced like that probably in a year... I was so happy all night I completely lost control at moments; I'd love to see videos of myself dancing in the front last night :haha: The one criticism I have is that he broke it down a little too much; it tires you out and you lose your flow.

The man has a complete power over me; when I was hanging back by the bar I got so tired, just wanted to sit down. But as I worked my way through the crowd back to the front it was like Superman flying towards the sun :haha: He just infused me with this energy and this inspiration (although I can see how people get tired; that stuff was unforgivingly hard and banging right up to the last track at 5am before the afterhours DJ came on, but I LOVED IT)

He played some sick acid around 4am and of course tons of breaks and just plain craziness. The last track was amazing, John knows the name. That acid track might have been the track of the night for me, though. I completely lost it to that one.

THE CLUB:

I like the club; I had no problems. The showers are over-rated. The crowd was pretty good. Everyone apologized when they stepped on me. They have way too much fog in there. The lights were good but it was dark enough. It was comfortable temperature-wise. After it started thinning out around 4, it got pretty roomy by big club standards though it was still pretty full. The energy drink they sell is a million times better than Red Bull, though everyone else hated it.

i had a good time last night - i haven't seen james in about 3 years, so i didn't know exactly what to expect even though i had seen some of his TLs. he definitely should be dj smilie - all he does up there is smile, smile and smile some more. his set was definitely full of energy the entire night and he kept me dancing most of the night. i just got tired around 5 am so i left - friday nights are just hard after working all day.

the club is pretty nice - too bad about the wooden poles in the middle of the dancefloor, kind of makes the place seem a lot smaller - and the showers are overrated. but the best thing about the club is that there are no lines for the bathroom!!! :toothless the only complaint is that the sound in there is somewhat loud on the edges - there are speakers in every corner of the club! a little too loud for me at times - i just have to remember to bring ear plugs if i'm not going to cielo or love.

nice to meet bogartens and miss bliss :)

James encored one of my all time favorite tracks and one of the most classic house tracks of all time.

Blaze - Lovely Dae

He is a master behind the decks, but for me he doesnt have the same control as danny howells, digweed, or sasha(used to). But none the less a ing banging DJ that i will continue to see(this list is getting very short).

Pache....... Eh.... To Loud..

Glad to see all us bitter old fogies had fun last night, though re-reading my review from this morning that I posted while a smidge intoxicated :D, I don't think I conveyed how much I did enjoyed the party. Music is a bit loud over on the right side, which unfortunately is about the only place we can find space when we go to Pacha. We left a track or two into the closer's set.

Remember:
James Zabiela - Weird Science
Depeche Mode Vs The Church - Church Of John (Zabielas Theifschwarz Remix) - aka John the Revelator vs. Under the Milky Way
There were a couple of others that we can't remember today that I ID'd last night

Was kinda hoping for Audiojack - Robot, though I never heard it (unless it was played when we went out to smoke).

We had no problems with the staff, actually, and we were witness to a few incidents where they DESERVED to be s. There was this kid in front of us in line who really needed to calm down and was kind bing an ass to the guy at the rope and with the female security guard that searched him, told him no gum, and to throw it in the bin with everyone else's. At that point, he's asking her if he can take other people's packs of gum from the confiscated box. They just laughed and joked with him and kept it friendly.

When we got to the guestlist table, we asked one girl for the rhythmism list, and she directed us to the guy at the far left. He didn't even care what our names on the list were, he just gave us tickets, so no idea what happened to you euphoria. We were looking for you early on in the evening since we knew you were supposed to come out.

fr0st - The Blaze track was in his guest set from Markus Schulz's GDJB set 2 weeks ago. Let me know if you want the set.

sot - You missed out. Last night was pretty far from minimal.
