Zabiela @ Pacha July 14th (pg. 7)

I totally planned on making it out. We went for dinner to river cafe in brooklyn which had a good ambiance and view but crappy food. Got back to manhattan around midnight at which point I decided I needed a disco nap. I woke up at 1am and got ready. We even went down and hopped in a cab and for some reason decided not to go. It was one of those totally wierd last minute things when you just don't feel like going.

Maybe drinking from 6pm to midnight had something to do with it?

Glad to hear most of you had fun. I will eventually year Zabs live one of these days.

We got there at around 1, Zabs was starting. We were on the retox list and it ended up costing us $25 to get in, whatever, no big deal. Upstairs was the Hip-hop room, there were a few ppl there, but nothing much was going on. About an hour later that place just got empty...maybe bc the DJ was playing "Trance":haha:
Downstairs was pretty packed, you could see the party was 18+ and there were more girls than usual. I didn't have a problem with any of the staff, it seems as though they were pretty much like always.
Anyway, I really enjoyed Zab's set, he did more scratching than the last few times I saw him:D I only recognized about 3 songs (can't remember which ones), but his set was nice and hard. The highlight for me was that acid song at around 4am, that just did it for me. Anyone know what it's called? I was hoping he would play July Sunset, but that didn't happen.
The sound at Pacha wasn't as loud in the beginning. At around 3:30 it got to its usual volume and high bass. I'm glad I brought my new ER20's, they def. did a good job, highly recommended!
In terms of the party and the place, I liked other parties at Pacha much better (when it was 21+). Imo it felt more underground and personal than last night. I had lots of fun, but it just wasn't the same...

Dunno that guy was acting like a total dick to me and I was friendly as I usually am to everyone. First Tom went up and said his name he crossed his off the list and didnt give him a ticket. When Tom (EnigmaT) mentioned that he didnt give him a ticket he basically calle dhim a liar and said he did give it to him. After Tom assured him a couple of times that he didnt he finally just handed over the ticket.

I told him my name and he asked like 4 times does it begin with Eu and I said yes and he said its not here. So I asked him to look at the list and he put it up to my face and said see and snatched it back like a second later.

sorry to hear you had such a bad experience - i probably wouldn't even have entered the club after this type of incident.

Sucks u had to go through that. I stayed til about 1AM and then I left with Tae and that girl u were at Pacha with. Shes like I cant take this crap music anymore and left. LOL. Its sucks some ppl had to pay $30 to get in and had Reggaeton blasting on the second floor. :nervous: :wtf:

P.S. In case u didnt know, I was the guy who met u earlier at Taes place. :toothless

He tore it, period. All night was high energy ing madness. His technical abilities w/ the mixer, EFX, are the best in the world. He really enjoyed DJing which seems to be getting rare lately. Pacha was a great venue, most of the staff were dicks though. Drinks were weak and overpriced. Smoking area was wack. 2nd floor was also wack. Zabs def deserves more credit on the night.

I'm confused, why did you stay in the hip-hop/reggaeton area upstairs (which did turn to trance classics later in the night)? Obviously the music sucked up there, that's why there are 2 floors playing EDM.

great night, first time at pacha and first time seeing Zabiela, personally thought the staff was fine. as for the bar prices were standard club prices. loved how it was dark and they serve gatorade. also the winamp effects on the dj booth was also very cool.

Well it pretty much made the rest of my time there unenjoyable because I was already in one of those moods after that...I tried to make the best of it but I figured I would just leave because my mood didnt improve very much.

Walid....I am the GIRL that left with you guys! (I think you were directing this comment towards Tom) Yea I remember you, the person I was with was EnigmaT (male)who you also met @ Tae's earlier in the night.

Well I decided to write a formal complaint about that guys attitude to the people that organize Rhythmism. I know that one persons complaint cant do very much to change anything but if others have also had problems before or after me my comments to them will somewhat validate any complaints about his behavior.

I think it was worthwhile you wrote to them. I know one of the people who started Rhythmism, and I'm sure she'd be interested in your feedback. It's in their best interest to keep people happy and using their gueslists. I'm not sure who hires the guestlist people at parties though. It might actually be Pacha, not the promoters. Either way, it's good you said something.
