WOW, Holy , Amazing, Unbelievable, Fantastic, Awesome, Unreal, Great, Terrific, How could you top that?!!, Oh my GOD,
YEs it was that good and more, if your a big AVB, A state of trance, Above and Beyond fan, this was the event for you. Trance classics, Tribal, vocal, new stuff (sander van doorn-controll freak), Tech-trance, a little progressive, beautiful weather, great crowd, Armin was way into it, he got there at 4:30, started spinnin' at 4:38, hows that for being humle (DJ'S are not rock stars), he was supposed to sart at 5pm, small crowd at the beggining, built up throught the night
The venue is cool, but its not like central Park, you have to stay in the beer garden with your drinks and its separated from the main stage by a wall, no view of AVB
Security was tight as can be, they did not allow smooking on the main dance floor, and there were more cops and security than actual fans at the beggining, yes thats no lie private security in blue shirts, than ones in black shirts, NYPD, and New York State Park Police)
Overall Armin was on his game BIG Time, those of you disappointed by him at WMC this year (me Included) he amended his wrong. Put it like this, MY favorite trance event ever
tracks, Ok Isuck with this but alot of old AVB and newer stuff from ASOT i actually really liked the tent because it provided much needed shade, the lights and sound were great, had 2 video screens behind him but nothing really was going on with that, no technical snafu's as with ULTRA
Many Many Nycta's like Euphoria, Sveta and more to be named later, when they put up tracklistings and videos its going to make you amazed

It was AWESOME and I cannot wait until tomorrow!!! Armin was simply fantastic, he had the entire crowd moving until the very end and it was simply a good time and I'm looking forward to relive it again tomorrow. Also, security didn't even start checking people until 4:15ish so if you get there early like I did today you'll have nothing to do...the line didn't even form until 4:10ish. Saturday could be really different though because it's close to capacity

The only major negative in my mind was the group of idiots who kept hitting me (head, back, side, whatever)...if you were one of these idiots :whip: :whip: :whip:

OMG OMG OMG awsomeeeeeeeeeeee set!!! Got there around 6ish, no line to wait, secruity was very friendly. The place was set up very nicely. The crowd were great, very spacious which leaves soo much room to dance, loved the lazers. Armin's set was somewhat different from previous ones,
he played some techy tracks (loved it) and some old tracks from ASOT as well. In end Armin was giving out a lot of posters, signing autographs which i got one too :D

Met a few TAs =] It was nice meetingggg you all :)

songs i remembered from tonight:
AvB - Control Freak (Sander Van Doorn Remix)
Dogzilla - Without you
Ferry Corsten - Beautiful
AvB & Gabriel & Dresden - Zocalo
AvB - Hymne (Armin's SAIL 2005 Remix)

Yah, he stuck around for a bit after closing the set signing cellphones, dollar bills, t-shirts, posters, people were giving him metrocards to sign but that was the only thing he wasn't signing on for some reason. :conf: He seemed so devoted to his fans.

i was dead center for like 99% of his entire set and of course in my hurry to beat the crowd i miss autograph signings...this is why i'm glad i have a ticket for tomorrow. I'm getting something dammit :gsmile:! Without ticket stubs you really have no physical evidence you were at a show anymore...I saw him sign a guy's crutch during his set, so I guess I'm not surprised

THIS VENUE WAS AWESOOOOOME. WHAT A BEAUUUUUUTIFUL VENUE. I’d say it was 10 times better than summerstage in central park. This place is off the hook. Weather was BEAUTIFUL. It was perfect. This place is literally under the Brooklyn Bridge. You can also see the water from the venue too. Saw some ferry’s/boats pass by during the night. Just beautiful. You look up, and BAM! The Bridge is right there. Again, BEAUTIFUL. IMO it’s annoying to bring camera’s to EDM events, because of the extra bulk, but I encourage everyone to bring yo camera for Saturday. This place is so BEAUTIFUL that if I get married one day, I’d want pictures to be taken here.

This venue also brought back some nostalgia of WMC. It was nice to arrive at 4pm and see AVB and the crowd all chillin in broad daylight.

Music: AVB played some good beats. Very energetic and kept the crowd going throughout the night. But he hardly played any vocal trance. For me, sometimes, I like to hear a few, here and there, but it felt like he played like only two. Also, he didn’t give us an encore.
But as always, AVB was very interactive with the crowd, which is always nice.

Lights: Amaaaaaaaaazing!

TA’s: A pleasure, a real pleasure meeting the reg. TA’s and some new ones. *Hi!* You guys are all individually really cool.

Beer: Delicious!

Food: I got the chicken-kabob w/ rice. Food was actually pretty okay! The hot sauce that came in the packets was really awesome too. Hot and it tasted just as hot or close to hot as Tobasco Sauce. ^_^ And the rice? It was much better than the chicken ahha.

It wasn’t that crowded either. I’m sure Saturday’s will be more crowded, but there was a lot of SPACE to dance around.

The floor was nice too. It was some plastic stuff that looked like it was a bunch of puzzle pieces put together; very clean and looked new, and it looked as if tho it were made especially for this event. One can dance barefoot if you’d like as well.!

Security? EXTRA TIGHT. VERY STRICT. They DO thoroughly check you. It also felt funny to have the State Park Troopers all over the place. Ahaha.

Part II on Saturday. I am very excited!

I had fun. Looking forward to tomorrow.

Glad to meet the lot of you. ;)
