I just cannot imagine what possibly can be said to Zidane to cause a reaction like that? Can you?
Do you think Zidanes reaction was justified? |
For all you know Materazzi could've been talking to Zidane the whole game; building up his temper until he finally said the wrong thing at the wrong time and got blown off his feet for it.
I love how everyone here is acting all high and holy  In the heat of the moment; anyone could be set off like that if you push the right buttons. Some people could say something stupid that they'll regret, others could act on it. Zidane acted on it and he got what he deserved. Get over yourselves. |

I don't know what he said, chances are we never will. And I don't think his reaction is justified either. It's really really sad for him because he could have ended his career very beautiful. I'm sure he'll regret his reaction for the rest of his life.
On the other hand I can understand his reaction. He just reacted "in the moment" like 1000ths op people do everyday. Sure he's a professional soccerplayer, so he should behave himself, but he's only human too. |

| Honestly wouldn't be surprised if Zidane wants to redeem himself and play one more season. |

| I believe Zidane is still playing for REAL Madrid, but no more internationals. I heard it from a friend though so i may be wrong. |

I'm not gonna knock a man for butting a mouthy, arrogant italian prick - but ing hell the words 'time' and 'place' come to mind. What the was a man of his experience and stature thinking?
It doesn't matter what was said to him, or how long the provocation had been going on throughout the match. What he did was absolutley outrageous, and he has paid the ultimate price for it in every sense of the word.
And to Rainborn - all you're achieving by posting that link in every football related thread going is letting more peope in on what a ing spastic you are. |
