Things are always viewed in a positive or negative light depending on which side you are standing on.
Let's take one of the countries that started democracy as we know it around the world, France. When the french farmers and stuff went against the Bastille to take it down and actually won they became heros.
Had they lost history would have written this episode as an act of terrorism.
Boston tea party had it failed would have been considered a terrorist act.
There are many examples in history that only because they succeeded in a sense were not viewed as terrorism when essentially that is what they were.
Now try and apply this to the case in Iraq, where the locals feel invaded by the Us. .... . |

thats not the concept of terrorism at all.. that's freedom fighting.
terrorism is using terror to acheive an aim; that aim doesn't have to be freedom - in this case it is the imposition of a religon and political system. you wouldn't have called the crusades freebom fighting? or the ethnic clensing in bosnia freedom fighting would you? |
