yeah ur right, it IS at the Event Center...did not get a chance to check it out when I was at Borgata this weekend...all i saw were three sets of escalators leading up to the Center...it's supposed to be 30,000 square feet -- not bad for a venue. I guess it'll have more of a TIC feel to it and also the sound will most likely be better at this concert-type hall.

MIXX looks small -- how Tiesto was held there previously is beyond me

From NYC, Greyhound Bus seems to be the best way to get there. They have buses running almost every 30min throughout the whole night. It's about $25 each way, discounted if you buy a round trip package.
Bus picks you up at Port Authority Terminal (41st Street & 8th Ave), and it's about a 2hour 30min ride.

They seem to have buses coming back at all hours of the morning, so if you have to get back home after the show, you can probably make it home about 3 hours later than usual.

you forgot to note that:

a) no buses go directly to the borgata

b) borgata is far away from the boardwalk. you'll have to take a cab from whichever casino greyhound drops you off at to get there.

mixx is small. but irrespective of the crowd, last year's set was good fun because the gig was announced kind of last second and wasn't heavily advertised. it was still packed a like a mofo, but not suffocatingly so.

omg its SO far from the Boardwalk its not funny, if you don't have a car it will be really HARD to get around...but maybe there are shuttles between casinos? :conf: if not, they REALLY should start that

well thats nice it turned out to be an enjoyable event and you enjoyed it. The best events ARE the ones that aren't announced/heavily promoted. I actually thought about going last year but didn't have the funds. :toothless The idea of Tiesto playing RIGHT in the middle of the casino floor is crazy tho ahah.

1. There's an AC Jitney. Google "atlantic city jitney". I seen bunch of them going in/out of Borgatta.

2. On a Walt Whitman bridge (from Philly to NJ) There's a big-ass billboard advertising Tiesto in Borgatta. It gets about 200,000 views a day and has been there for the last month or so. I know, coz' I see it at least several times a week on a way to work. Expect not only NJ Guidos but South Philly cheesesteak guidos to be in full effect (as walt whitman bridge is in the heart of South Philly).

So, don't bank on it being NOT PACKED. Also, there are trains that go directly into AC. If you don't feel like shuffling along with grandmas on Greyhound, consider taking a train to either Trenton or 30th street station in Philly and taking a train to AC. Check train availability, schedule, and pricing online. Amtrak, NJ Transit, SEPTA sites would be a good place to start.

Spirit Air also has some flight deals for those (crazy enough) to try to fly in for this shindig. From Detroit to AC it's like $69 each way.

anyway, have fun y'all.

:whip: :whip: I can't believe we didn't run into each other...I was there for the whole weekend!!!....the beach was perfect with its weather, and I won $66...not much but eh, it paid for my drinks that night!!! :) :) :)

I took greyhound down, here is my experience:

NYC-->AC 2.5 hours, no problems

AC--->NYC Online scedule was WAY off....I was told when I got to the terminal that the next bus was 90 minutes later than the schdeule online....then I find out that so many people were waiting for buses that I was actually standing next to a guy that had been waiting there since 6 am to get one (they overbooked by literally hundreds of people.) I was told I would have to wait about 4 hours in the "Line." My poor friend had to drive me all the way back to NYC bc of this bull!! :whip: :whip: :whip:
