Tiesto's Magik series CD's

This is probally going to piss alot of the Tiesto fanatics off, but am I the only one who thinks these CDs are not mixed very well. With the execption of 6 & 7, which are both live sets, the rest just seem to be thrown together. There doesn't seem to be any flow to them, and some of the mixing is less than stellar.
Just my 2 cents. |

| Well there are 7 different Magik CDs. If you want to be legit you can purchase them from www.black-hole.nl or you can Dl them on Audiogalaxy or WinMX. |

| 6 and 7 were not studio made mixes......they were live.....so i expected the mixing not be to as polished. |

| seems to me that Magik 1-5 are kinda old style Tiesto (more "lite trance" and a tad cheezy), whereas 6 and 7 are more progressive current style Tiesto, which I prefer. I've never noticed that the mixing is off on any of them though. |

| 6 and 7 were pretty polished to me, probably cuz the tracklist was pretty well set before he started the liveset cuz he wanted a good recording. I don't know when magik 1-5 came out but must have been around 4 years ago? I could understand if these were not as perfect mixing as PvD or sasha, and Tiesto was not nearly as well known then. |

Trintiy: I definitely agree with you and see what you mean.
(Although, when you have melodic songs, it'll always seem like they're "lumped together," with small exceptions.)
I have Magik 5 and 6 and I can *always* tell exactly when he starts mixing in the next song. |

Agree wit u's who said that 6 and 7 r live so therefore, they arent gonna b as good as the likes of Tranceport etc... in the mixing sense but I have just recently went and got both of them and thought they were both good CDs.
The thing is, wat is good bout them is that they r live, cause the crowd and all in the background is class, and its hard to get good "live" mixed Cds that r out now.
