Who owns guns? (pg. 5)

Well I was browsing through this thread and it caught my attention. What Im about to address is meant for Americans and others can take what I say into consideration.
I think that it is a duty that all of us should have the right to bear arms; it has been stated clearly in our USA constitution.
“A well regulated militia, being necessary to the security of a free state, the right of the people to keep and bear arms, shall not be infringed.”
To me that is very clear. Our founding fathers even carried guns when they went from state to state, they encouraged the citizens to carry their own weapons.
Because they knew when you leave the people of a nation vulnerable it is very dangerous. What would happened lets say if Bush goes nuts and orders the military to go on a raid and kill Americans for the heck of it? A massacre… We wont be able to protect ourselves if we don’t bear the right to posse arms.. I had talked about the Holocaust in the other thread… I was having a conversation with one of my professor sometime ago, what would have happened if the Jews would have had arms, the Holocaust would have still taken place but it would have had a different direction.
What does a communist govt do when they come into power? They quickly confiscate any weapons from its people living them vulnerable. Being a gun owner also has responsibilities, meaning a weapon should only be used for protection. Not for any other purpose.
Well some of you can say… Arnold why own guns if we have cops? Go to a shooting range youll be surprise to see many cops be shooting like they are afraid of the gun. You cannot always trust a cop with a gun, some of them take it seriously and practice their shooting others just do it as recommended… |

What's your point?
I'm pretty much anti-war but I want to get into handgun shooting at one point. Have done it a couple times and loved it. |

Individual squattered civilian uprisings never happen and if they do they will quickly be crushed as their isn't a large number of participants. |

Yes, the Jews didnt have their own country. But what I'm saying the importance of being a gun owner.. Many people disregard this idea... I see it as a duty for all of us to know how to shoot atleast.

:) Well I love shooting also! One of my professors he is a gun collector and he is an interesting dude he has a whole collection of WWII weapons... he owns about 300 guns :wtf: which is nothing compared to other collectors he knows... he told me he is willing to take me shooting, but I would like to obtain a license and for that he takes it very seriously and will make me join the NRA... I will when I become 21... now Im just concentrating in rifles that dont require to have a license.. If you ever come to Miami we can go shooting ;)
I think that his group, the collectors, will meet in Norway sometime go to shooting for the heck of it. If you are located in Norway I can give you the 411. These people what I like about them they are willing to teach you... how to properly shoot and the history that every gun has to it... So if you are really looking to it I encourage you, its a fun hobby :cool: Then again you must do it responsibly I have seen some collectors with Soviet tanks :wtf: the heavy collectors.
I want to get to it, but sadly this has turned to be an expensive hobby, for the old guns. Especially when Saving Private Ryan came out many people where into WWII weapons.. Now to purchase these type of guns is getting more and more expensive... if you are looking into it let me know so I can PM you the site where all these collectors talk about guns. |
