Israel's 4 day offensive leaves 104 people dead in lebanon, hezbollah steping up its defense, Syria and Iran pledging to aid hezbollah, Lebanon's PM ready to take control of hezbollah's territory which will only lead to a civil war. Bush and Putin divided over what is going on...this is getting VERY VERY ugly very FAST :eyes: :eyes: :eyes: :eyes:
I really hope the Arab league can do something, right now they shouldn't put faith in the UN security council though, they never get anything done. |

why do you think we loaded iraq? bu$h was planning to attack iran, but that didn't work. so, he is attacking other neighboors. he will try to pull iran, so he can justify bombing their nuclear central.

no trust me, bush's plan was to and remains to be to secure a steady oil supply, establish a permanent military presence in the region and to systematically neuter the entire middle east for israel. it's just too bad his entire administration is so brazenly incompetent and tactless at carrying it out... |

I really dont understand what Israel is trying to accomplish. It makes zero sense. Its like they took a stupid pill.
In the past they would have just done stuff covertly. And yes yes I know it was an act of war. But think 2 steps ahead it makes zero sense.
They cant get rid of Hizbollah without reoccupying S. Lebannon. That didnt work out so well last time. Even if they do reoccupy it they have a bloody occuptation that goes on years. Only to have to leave at somepoint.
Its really weird. I think they are trying to cut down the US's ability to work out a deal with Iran but thats just my 2 cents. Otherwise this makes no sense. |
