A Modern Day Proper Trance Mix

August 2006 Update
It’s finally here! In case you don’t remember I asked you guys for your help on a proper trance mix I was making (see old post below). The reason for this request is because all the sets I’ve listened to on this board regarding proper trance are from the 1990’s era so naturally one question popped into mind and that was: How would proper trance sound like in today’s era? The answer is in the concept set below for which I’ve limited myself to post-2000 era trance to keep my idea relevant and the set contemporary. Personally I feel that the music here is very unique in the sense that each track exudes originality and that this music can be listened to 10 years from now without sounding so dated, in other words, timeless. Hopefully you guys share the same passion as I do after listening to this set and if there’s anything I’ve learned through this whole process is that the genre itself has changed, but its roots live on through psychedelic and acid trance. Overall I’d like to thank everyone who posted their suggestions and recommendations.

Tracklist:
1) The Auranaut - Yo-Yo
2) Vibrasphere - Manzanilla (Jaia Remix)
3) 12 Moons - The Collective
4) Son Kite - Jukebox
5) Sister Bliss - Deliver Me
6) Ticon - Six Years After
7) Mirco De Govia - Voller Sterne (Mirco De Govia Remix)
8) Jaia - Electric Sunrise
9) James Holden - Horizons
10)Psypilot - Feel Zero Five
11)Max Graham - Airtight
12)Christian Smith & John Selway - Don't Turn Me Down (Pumping Mix 2)
13)Thomas Mester - The Guitar Track (Fabio De Marchi Mix)
14)Christian Smith & John Selway - Cafe Photo

July 2006 - Original Thread
I'm currently in the works trying to create a modern day proper trance mix and need your help. I have heard only old examples of what proper trance is and want to introduce a new breed of music to the genre. Unfortunately looking for such music is proving very difficult. All I have are these 2 tracks:

1)The Auranaut - Yo-Yo [2000] listen
2)Vibrasphere - Manzanilla (Jaia Remix) [2005] listen

Please make some more suggestions and try to keep it post-2000 era otherwise the modern day meaning is lost.

I recommend: Side-A - Hybrid Rise. Wonderful entrancing and melodic tune .
