LATE review!!!
It was my 4th time seeing my favourite DJ (Lawler, in case anyone didn't know :p)...It was the 2nd best set I heard from him (the best being at Stereo last Canada Day) and he just BLEW MY FKN MIND and legs apart. That is me, on that cube in the middle of that dancefloor, rocking away to my Prog God!!! His mixing was awesome, his vibe was incredible and his tracks were OFF THE HOOK (note: Simpler - Pete Heller (Lawler Edit) and Acid Test - I forget the producer...perhaps Matin Van Heldjen or something like that...anyways)...I went out and bought his new album "Viva" the next day and it brought me back to that set of his. SOOOO FKN GOOD!!!! He was saying to the crowd at the end how much he loved MTL and the vibe here etc...Really special :)
I saw Tenaglia also and I wasn't as impressed as I thought I would have been BUT his set was nice nonetheless...I suppose seeing him in Stereo would have been more exceptional but I thoroughly enjoyed it anyway...
Overall, I hated Saturday...I was on the phone with my mom asking her to pick me up at 4pm LOL...That's how bad it was but Lawler made it alllllll worth it for me :)...
HUGE thank you to Dan aka Light78 for the lift...You were my key to Lawler LOL!!!
Good times...Can't wait to see Steve again :D |
