holy im still laughing! So many jokes things happened this weekend and i cant even begin to explain them all. IT was my 2nd time at WEMF and boy was it better then the first time. Thought the site was awsome and loved the outside stages. Music was good, and friends were even better. holy Todd and Jamie, i cant even explain, im still laughing. Andrew ur set was fantastic, dennis im sorry i missed urs, stupid line took so dam long to move to get in! Jelo's set was also one of my fav's, enjoyed the first half better then the second half but overall it was awsome. Not a fan of UK Hardhouse, so i kinda peaced out, but overall tunes were good. Made an appearance to the DnB stage a couple times and rocked out there for a bit, but found the crowd kinda a buzz killer, so the wondering continued.
I think ur friends really make WEMF a truly great experince and feel lucky to have such great ones who came along for the show:). After reading some posts about some TA's not saying hi back or whatever the issue was, Ya it is kinda rude not to say hi back, but honestly u only know ppl through a website...u dont really know eachother, and those who do seem to be good friends with people are clearly friends from before or have taken the time to make friendships, so i dont think ppl should take it to heart so much.
I hope everyone who went had an awsome time, and i hope this wasnt the last wemf, but if it is, boy did it leave me with some fantastic memories:)

The funnies wernt just restricted to after passing security, i think the guy who searched us when we first got in either wanted to make us laugh or smack him on his face.
Security: So where are your drugs
Me: We got alcohol in the car (if you count that as a drug)
Security: You're lying, everyone who comes in here has drugs on them
Me: Well we dont so does that mean we cant get in?
Security: What if i told you we had a drug dog
Me: The only thing illegal hes going to find are glass bottles.
Security: Hand them over and step out of the car. |

ROFL. same happened to us.
On the way in, the cop comes up, and goes "So, where are you guys going?", when we're 5 feet away from the gate to WEMF.
also, we got asked if we had any illegal drugs we wanted to let him know about when we were leaving. Yeah yeah buddy, we'll let you know all about it. |

I think I just slept for 18 out of the last 20 hours, time to attempt to put this weekend into words.
Part 1: getting there
So, I was supposed to get to WEMF by around 7 pm on Fri night. Then after some extra stops in TO is was going to be before 9. When I got to the gates it was more like after midnight with an extra passenger that we didn't have time to drop off in Kingston (as my friends planned). We soon learned that although my friend was supposed to have 2 free tickets given to him the whole thing was actually bs. This meant that extra passenger had to be driven home to Kingston that night. Ok, so half of my stuff went to Kingston and back and I was missing most of my essentials till 5:30 am with no way of reaching the driver (he had his cell off). We lost our tent for a while. This was mostly because it was put up in the dark and my mushrooms kicked in after about 15 so I really had no idea where the tent was actually located.
sooo...Fri night was complete chaos for me and I missed most of the actual DJs seeing as the music was all shut down early
Part 2: The Good
1) Finally meeting up with some TAs on Sat, I was sooo happy to actually find the camping area (good thing I saw you Jamie)
2) Drag N' Fly's Set, such a good trance local. He got a bunch of zombies moving on Sun morning and pumped up the engergy with some awesome trance.
3) Lots of friendly people randomly saying hi to me and adding to the positive WEMF vibe
4) Jay being my new Hardcore dancing buddy. I love happy people :)
5) Rocking it out to some ultra cheesy Euro (don't do that every day)
6) Being able to dance at outdoor sound stages (especially good with mushrooms)

I guess it was luck of the draw. We had to go through security 3 times in total and the second time, we pretty much got let through without having to get out the car. |

Beautiful! THANK you for the candy I we swapped! Its my ing favourite piece ive ever seen! I wanted it from teh second i saw it earlier in the night when lars was taking candy off ur arm! Im glad u still had it.

OMG! I was so happy to see you! Your bright smile on your face! Priceless! YOu made me so happy!! Man, that story of your trip is crazy. I was on a crazy trip when u told me, so it didnt realy set in well... now that i read it sober... FACK! Michelle, youre a mission cutie!!!

I think i danced HARDEST TO THEM! SERIOUS! GREAT. ing great! great!

The euro set blew my mind. Petty said it best. He's prolly never seen me happier!
And the outdoor stages and randoms saying hi to u and you saying hi to them, that was so great. The return to outdoor stages for wemf was ing AWESOEM! Incredible! I love dancing in dirt in teh open air!!! Dancing OUTSIDE as the sun came up, beating down on my back! WORDS DONT EXIST!
Being on Skybar as the sun comes up was NOTHING to this ing experience as the sun came up and you're in a rave field hearing the most sick tunes of your life! |

Dude, when we were leaving and I saw the line of 6 cops stopping all the cars! I dont know how they let me through!
I was so cracked out from before! I was even wearing my glasses! They just asked if I';d had anything to drink today. I lied, said no.... great.
Asked if we had any alcohol. Said yes. they got concerned it seemed, asked where, said the back, in the trunk. They then just dismissed it and said, OK, go on"
LOL, thank god! , that was the most hurting drive of my life! THe sweet onion chicken teriyaki sub I had at the subway we stopped at was the most phenomenal meal I think ive ever had! SO GOOD!
And the funny anecdote is that that is the exact same spot we stopped at on the way back from Montreal for NYE 2004 when we , ironically had gone to see the Thrillseekers (but then didnt bc their gig was cancelled). We all realised it was the same spot as we were leaving, and I said, hey, this is familiar.. isn't like where.... and then it hit us all! That connection/randomness was great.
(actually, I think blackness might have realized all this before... hes one smart.......)
