This kind of reading, yes, lol.
Better than reading People Magazine, I guess.

yeah read murder mysteries and political scandals! Subjective essays on things that you agree with that are just as fantastic, yet lacking the scenery!
My personal preference is better than yours!
Also, the benefits of reading decline when other people don't agree with the subject matter.

yeah, so the movie isn't nearly as good as i'd like. and the animation is pretty ordinary. but i still found stuff to like, despite the numerous errors/changes, i still think it carried the spirit of the books rather well, its just that this movie cost only $1.5 million to make, and it really shows :( music isnt too bad though.
if they'd had $900 odd million like LOTR (?) itd be better.
still, i thought keifer made an excellent raistlin, and i didn't think "omg its keifer!" everytime he talked either. and raistlin has always been more important to me than dragonlance, the same way vader is more important to me than star wars.
while some of the CGI stuff was ok, it was only ok when you were comparing it to the 80s style of the 2D stuff, ha.
overall i liked it enough to buy the DVD and see if they can make enough money to improve dragons of winter night, and that's the book that has the most to do with raistlin and all his wonderful evil :D
but im ing unimpressed with their cutting of "hope is the denial of reality..." sentence at the end of the book.
still, 5 fanboy stars out of 5 coz it was good that they had a crack anyway!

2D or 3D animation? I've never read any of the Dragonlance books, but I dig good animation, regardless.

both :( i wouldve preferred it all in 2D, and just put lots more effort into the it. as it was, i think both suffered for it.

Aw, that's a bit dodgy. 2D and 3D never work very well together, unless they're going for something that's highly stylised :/
