Casing for the movie has now been completed with Kiefer Sutherland assuming voicing duties for Raistlin Majere. Sutherland is of course best known as Jack Bauer from TV`s \"24\", however he also has a string of acclaimed movie roles to his credit. Sutherland joins a voice cast which includes Lucy Lawless (\"Xena: Warrior Princess\") as Goldmoon, Michael Rosenbaum (\"Smallville\") as Tanis Half-Elven, and Michelle Trachtenberg (\"Buffy the Vampire Slayer\") as Tika Waylan, for the animated movie adaptation of \"Dragons of Autumn Twilight\".
Other significant roles in the film include:

Rino Romano (Caramon Majere)
Jason Marsden (Tasslehoff Burrfoot)

omg...seriously frigging awesome
Who could possibly play Tanis / Fizban (or is it Zifnab in their Dragonlance books, i can never remember)
anyway, if done on the same scale as LOTR, i feel these would be much better movies.
edit: the cast looks pretty f'ing awesome.
perfect Tika if they can make her look a bit more sultry and mature:

and to answer my original question i should have read the whole post

I have been waiting for this for a very LONG time. If done right it could be better than LOTR...since I thought the overall storyline of
Chronicles was significantly better and more epic.
Edit: wait a minute...animated? PFffffft never mind then... |

| yeah, but id say animated movie > no movie at all. this way it keeps costs down which allows them to do things the way they want. staying true to the books is more important than having LOTR-like effects imo. plus, it means theres more chance of all 3 (or maybe even 6?) books getting the movie treatment. |

Writer
The screenplay has been adapted by George Strayton, whose credits include "Cleopatria 2525", "Xena: Warrior Princess" and "Hercules: The Legendary Journeys".
i think that makes it haha
im excited though should be sweet.
and DeathGate is awesome. Gets originality points and makes you feel weird reading it because its so alien.
DL is one of the more comforting fantasy to slip into. Awesome characters, for some reason even when its all goin wrong the fact there are still friends there makes the books have a pretty deep connection.
They are both great but in different realms |
