How can the hardware in this case realy affect the laptops security? Sorry for having to attack you but like zild said, if you dont know about computers then dont attack other people on the subject.
Iv said it before but I know people who have spent alot of money on dells and damn. They actualy make some good laptops. The top of the line models run very cool aswell! No more burning yourself when you pick up your lappy. |

| Have to say Ive had 2.6 for ages of Traktor and even when I bought 3.0 I still used 2.6 instead. But in the last 2 weeks Ive given 3.0 another try and once you sort a few minor issues out then your fine, I just dont know what controller to buy now?! |

Those smacbooks will burn the hell out of your legs. Thats why you pay extra. For the shiny case that will burn your legs. |

There could be a new Midi controller for Traktor coming out that supports the 4 virtual decks. There are already some nice new ones available such as from Feena but they are for 2 decks.

I still use an use old version of Traktor with an M-Audio X-Session midi box. But I'll get the Traktor 3 upgrade just to see what it's like.

If looks aren’t important to you and you want a decent controller the Hercules mk2 will do just fine, great soundcard too. |

It does not matter if you get an Apple or Non-Apple brand. That is a crock of . I've used four diffrent types of laptops before & these are my experinces with them.
My friend had a newer Dell - nothing but problems, LCD cracked easily, power pin snapped. Frame broke. All sorts of stuff plus a 4+ week wait between every return, he think's dell is . I tried it and hated it.
Toshiba - I hate them. Slow, unstable and easy to break and IMHO none of their notebook stand out.
HP - Love it, built strong, no problems as of yet.
Compaq - my dad uses this, I havn't heard any complaints.
All I can say is, find a laptop with some nice specs (you don't need a state of the art computer to run Traktor, all your worried about is harddrive space). Do a google on the model or check out HardOCP / Andatech (sp?) for a review. You will need to buy some sort of external soundcard to get Tracktor synced with your mixer (so that you can use your nuo as the mixer, and tracktor as the decks) I would look into some M-AUDIO stuff. That should set you back 2-400 maybe. All I know is M-AUDIO makes some pretty good stuff and a lot of people on here recommend them. |
