Honestly, this author is on crack. A couple of quotes that I think explain themselves.

Yes, and controlling what can and cannot be seen. Where the goernment fails, the corporations where you work pick up. I can't tell you how pissed I was to see backdoorbandits.com was blocked on my computer at my internship.

I think it's priceless, the use of the word hidden, considering the phone taping scandal. (Yes I know they arent the bugs we see in movies, but it stil conjures that image)

| evidently not :p i use alterslash.org because it takes the interesting threads and posts only comments with high ratings so it gets rid of all the . i searched on slashdot.org but couldn't find the thread, the site is huge and i'm a lazy noob :p |

do you normally get this freaked out about ? what if this draft bill, as it has been introduced because thats all we're talking about here, has been worded in such a way to let the Legislative branch deal with the in's and out's and intracacies of just exactly who is afforded the luxuries of U.S. justice system and who isn't? should i even ask you if you trust Buler to define them? i mean they did just got on and stepped over by the SCOTUS for their last definition of a detainee. unjustly so i might add.
i don't want harp on you. it's just that i don't trust ANNE HARPER FLAHERTY's spin as much as you don't trust the U.S. Senate.
rest assured. the Bill of Rights will always trump statutory law anyday of the week...if your a citizen. if your John Paul Stevens, it's anyone you want. |
