It's been talked about, so lets start discussing it here.
What I have...
- 2GB online server that I can attach a domain to if need be "www.tranceaddictrecords.com"?
- Ability to setup any type of forum/wiki/cms
- Lots of time
- Graphics Design
I really would love to be the webmaster for this thing. Sounds awesome!
I can also get more space if need-be. |

Wonderful idea.
I guess it's a free record company, what do you intend to release? Only TA-member's tunes.
P.S plz, only the good oned. No halfworks, and so only. Let's not make it amateurish. |

personally not in favor of such an idea. to be perfectly honest...i think what would end up happening would be a bunch of under par tracks getting released. not saying there isn't talent on the boards, but let's face it...most of the producers are still learning and not making professional quality tracks. who would monitor what is "released" and what isn't? i just think it'd be hard to keep a TA record label reputable... |

why not? I think it would work out fine. We could have our own master/sound engineer and then have whoever on the forums send in demos to the A & R man. I think we all know a professional quality track vs an amateur track. |

I think we have plenty of labels flooding the market as it is, we just don't need yet another label. Besides, the audience would mostly be us anyway so we'd end up selling our tracks to each other. |

sure there will be a lot of sit releases. look at any label that has ever exited and you'll see that this is true. the absence of this label will NOT mean that music wil be released, because it will and by the truckload.
but if there's a chance that at least one beautiful, innovative, and truly amazing composition get's released, then i say it is well worth it.
that's the way things work. throw stuff on the wall and see what sticks. |
