Hi everyone :)
It was a while since I posted something here, but now I'm back :p
Lately I have began too produce more and more psy influenced stuff, and this is my first real psy attempt.
I really want to know your point of view. This is a 4 min beta clip.
- Speactra - Mouldy - (right click, save as) ~11mb 192vbr

Update: Alot of things have happend, tell me what you think about it now :)
It's not complete yet, but it's not much left now :)
I have recorded the new added vocals myself, i dont think i will include the vocals in the intro in the final version, in that case i'll record new ones because the current STINKS :p |

Hey,
commenting as listening...
The kick is nice indeed... sounded a bit hollow on my speakers but on my headphones its thumping well.
The bassline has maybe a little much resonance.
Very nice liquid psy synths in the background.
The percussion, specially the hats are maybe a little too "ticking"... These short sounds give the overall mix more clarity in a way, but you could improve them with some reverb maybe. The hats could also sound a tad "fuller", maybe try other samples? The hihat pattern is quite nice btw.
The bassline is really solid, especially on the lowest frequencies its nice and warm, but I personally would try a little less resonance.
During the fills, you could really add more stuff. Since you said this is a beta version this is not really something to complain about. Still, some uplifters, wooshes and stuff, or automated panning/phasing/flanging will provide extra coolness ;)
Seems like a lot of criticism, but these are just suggestions... I got to say I like what you got so far as a solid fundament for a track. Maybe a little "wetter" sound overall would be nice, reverb and delay on some elements for example. Good luck! |

i like the energetic percs.
kick is sublime. really real sounding. maybe a like more low in it but not much:)
silence. this is AMAZING! jesus man. you are getting soooo good!
percs are great and you bass is great.
i wish i played faster trance when i hear trax like this.
i cant complain about anything man. you will go far with productions like this. 10/10 - and i hate psy! |

Listening now (sadly on cheapish headphones in work). Good solid tune, not sure on the opening vocal samples though! As others have said the kick is great and your FX/filtering is nicely done as well. I'm just wondering if you drop a bit too often though ?
Mix and production sound top notch to me.
