But as I said in my post above, it's been proven that pedophiles can not be rehabilitated. And yes I know that a lot of pedophiles were molested when they were children, but it still doesn't make it okay to do it to other children. You would think it would work the other way. You'd think they would never do it a child being through it themselves.

Yep...I had edited my post saying that experiencing the abuse does not in any way justify their actions. I, too am kind of skeptical of rehab...but I guess you never know...perhaps there could be a few that can be healed. But this Whitmore fellow is way past rehab, unfortunately.... |

About a month ago I was watching the Detroit news about a man in Michigan who was a known sex offender...he had something like 11 counts against him...none that put him away for very long. His first offence was when he was 11!! ELEVEN YEARS OLD...raping a young school girl. He has also contracted AIDS in the past few years....and probably about the worst thing I've ever heard....he raped HIS OWN BABY! A girl...less than a year and a half old...virtually tearing her open, giving her AIDS and completely destroying any chance of her having kids of her own when she was older.
I wish I had a copy of the story I could post here. |

OMG, very disturbing. I was watching Oprah once...(I know, I know), but anyways, Ricky Martin was on, and he was talking about orphanages in Thailand. He told a story about this man who paid one of the orphanges 10 grand so he could have sex with a 5 month old baby!! |

that's so stupid - where did I say these people should be let loose on the streets and harm other children?
these people are sick - they need supervise - some sort of mental hospital.
I can't help OUR justice system sucks. |

If you read above, there were many suggestions about that, about them being locked in some mental ward, hospital, jail, whatever. It just sounded like you were implying that they shouldn't be punished, that they should just get a slap on the wrist cause they have mental problems.
