I see where you are heaing here dude.
at the same time you have to remember this is a man kidnapping a child with the intention to sexually FORCE himself upon the child. Implying the child has no choice, therefore tainting the child.
this is the same idea as a rapist grabbing a woman and FORCING her to perform sexual acts un willingly.
the difference is Gay men or Lesbian women CHOOSE to have sex with the same sex, both are in agreeance, and both are aware of the results of actions.
same thing with s&m and any other kookey acts.
but for the other side to not have a choice in the act (aka rape, or child pedophelia...) is a completely dif topic.
how ever i do think this guy needs help, but should be kept seperate from REAL society as a whole as he is a threat to those who have no control over situation like that, like helpless childen... Maybe placing people like this in a psychiatric society that is based on outside societ without children may be a little better while helping them and keeping them under close watch. |

| just put him away for christ's sake. he's gotten off with less time in jail for all his offenses than someone would for having a half sheet of acid. |

First off, why is it that the first thing you mention is the fact that I made a SPELING mistake ? ( ya... speling )
Second, as far as gay people going to jail ? I never once made reference to homosexuals in my post. The guy is a pedophile, little boys or little girls, gay or not.. makes no difference.
Third, if he does indeed end up in jail, and the inmates have their way with him... then he'll get a taste of his own medicine.
And finally, if someone you cared about was molested as a child, and all through your life you saw her struggle to deal with therapy and personal demons. You'd be saying the same right now. |

he's demonstrated (repeatedly) that he will reoffend immediately upon his release.
I'm all for rehabilitation as a primary option...but when someone won't even acknowledge that they have a severe problem, then they need to be removed from society...permanently. |

It is just terrible that there are creeps out there, wandering the streets for children as their "prey", and it makes me sick to my stomach that the justice system doesn't put them in a locked up situation to ensure this doesn't happen.
It's a tangeled string of emotional, physical and mostly sexual abuse that causes this Pedophile behaviour, and unfortunatly there is no way to break the chain.
I wish there was something we could do! |

Whitmore's record:
He has been jailed several times for crimes involving children. Whitmore served 16 months in custody after being convicted in Ontario in 1993 of abduction and sexual offences involving four boys.
Just nine days after he was released, he took an eight-year-old girl from Guelph, Ont., to Toronto. He received a 56-month sentence.
Weeks after his release in November 2000, Whitmore was found with a 13-year-old boy in a Toronto motel. His sentence for that offence was one year in jail.
In 2002, Whitmore fled to British Columbia after he was accused of more parole violations in Ontario, including befriending a five-year-old boy. When he was arrested by police in B.C., he was carrying latex gloves, duct tape and pictures of young children.
After that arrest, he was given a three-year sentence that included 12 months of psychiatric treatment at Kingston Penitentiary.
This guy can be rehabilitated and deserves the right to be rehabilitated??

This man has no business in our society. Sentences for crimes against children need to be longer and the criteria for reviewing a dangerous offender need to be reviewed. |

One of the worst things about this is what it does to the rest of society.
I a consider myself a pretty easy going guy. Therefore sometimes when im in line at a restaurant or in a place where there are lots of people i will interact with people. Sometimes kids make goofy faces etc etc. So naturally i make goofy faces back at them LOL. Anyways its amazing the dirty looks u get from parents when you are a 30 year old man responding to a child saying hello (with the parents right next to them i might add). I guess im supposed to ignore them with a steely face? What a great way to raise a socially handicapped child IMO.
I quite remember the days when I was that child. I asked my parents what their reaction was and they said they would often just smile too or even talk to the person who i was interacting with. It's sad how things have changed. |
