As you do.
So I came downstairs to get tea when the usual routine happened. The Robin was sitting outside looking in the patio door at me, waiting to be fed.

I've been meaning to get pics of this for ages. So armed with the camera and a handful of porridge oats, I went outside and sat down on the step.
It didnt take long for him to get to the best vantage point. My knee.

Out came the oats, and he got stuck in.

The feast begins ->

After that, his brother turned up and chased him off. Territorial little buggers, robins. But I've never met one so tame before.
Well, a few years ago, one was ALMOST that tame. It proved to be his downfall, as he went in the shed and decided to eat a piece of cheese. Unfortunatly the cheese was connected to a mouse trap.
Lets hope that doesnt happen this time :D |

omg, that is the cutest little thing ever! i'm jealous. i wish a cute little bird would eat out of my hand like that.
i dont know why, but i have always been very into watching birds...i think those hiking trips with my dad and his bird book and binoculars (dorky, i know) really rubbed off me, lol.
i always notice birds and what kind they are. we have wild parrots in miami and i can always tell when they're around because they have a very loud "squawking" type of noise and when i'm walking the dog in the morning i watch them fly around, being loud from tree to tree. or i'll notice a blue jay just sitting there on a tree...this is all usually when i'm walking the dog. i'm always looking around for birds for some reason. i'm a closet bird watcher geek.
