| maybe dartmouth is a good school because people say it is but i think you're going to be bored out of your mind there for lack of party scene and the excessive nerdage that occupies that region. Have fun being a nerd! |

UT-Austin is a damn good school if you want to do Business, Engineering, Architecture, Communications or Fine Arts. If you're going to major in Liberal Arts or Natural Science STAY AWAY.
and stay away from College Station too. Its full of conservative hicks, except for IZZY of course. :p |

and wookieslut I don't think I will be bored out of my mind, there are still parties and what not and I won't be a nerd there and I could honestly somewhat not care beacuse when I go to college I care more about my future than partying. |

Education and "Life Experiences" (I.E. Drugs, Booze, Women) need to be balanced accordingly. |

Yeah, it's called "Blueberry Hill" and it's not really a pub, sort've a restaurant/cafe chill type place. Kinda not really my hang out. I usually just go to the student center upstairs :P. And if your friends come to York to JUST hang out there, damn...come and SAVE them from the place...I could understand if it was to party at a pub nite cause those are decent (if you're bored and there aren't any REAL parties going on) then that's different.;) |

Awright, about this whole dartmouth/ thing... am I an ? No. Did I get an offer to go to Dartmouth? yes. I seriously wanted to go there or Brown, but decided against it because Dartmouth is way too small and Brown is really only a Liberal Arts college, which is fine and dandy, but I want to do some engineering ATM.... The reason I decided to apply to state schools is because they offer everything I need: people, broad range of classes, and loads of experiences to be had. I dont think there is anything wrong with any ivy league school or the kids who go there, but there isnt anything wrong with people that don't go to ivy league schools, so dont argue about that . It's just not worth it. At any rate, even with an offer from D-mouth, I got postponed at Madison... go figure that??
DarkTrance: Why bother bragging like that, colleges can be as good or bad as you make them. Just because you are going to Dartmouth doesn't mean that you're any smarter or better than anyone else here. You so eloquently stated, "I’m going to Dartmouth for the 2002-2003 school year, I’m probably the only one going to a high caliber school like that," well I was invited to go to dartmouth and I turned it down. This isn't the place to honor yourself, it's a place to have fun and talk and learn. So why can't we all be brothers (and sisters?)

So I don' know/care about what's going on with this darmouth thread up there, but I stopped caring about it 10 threads ago.
As for College, I go to Tulane in New Orleans.It's bit expensive, but the liqour laws are as lax as it gets in the US, there's a load of parties with free liqour, it warm 300+ days out of the year, and the trance scene is pretty ing good.
On the downside, there's a load of crime down here and tourists think this town is one giganitc toilet bowl.
I've lived in Boulder for quite a while too, it's a nice place, but it's a lot cooler if you're 21, or preffer smoking hooner. |
