same here, and everyone wonders why i like the mindless by lloyd banks and 50 cent. because it simply just sounds good and has a great beat...i love their stuff.
anyway, u can get the best of both worlds by listening to any song on some old Outkast albums..Aquemini or ATLiens.. |
You got good taste Slylee. You gotta listen to that new Dj Whoo kid feat Lloyd Banks mixtape "Mo money in the bank pt.4" is hot. I love EDM , but its not my favorite genre of music. |

Hey, some of his stuff newer than that is still pretty good. I was always uplifted and inspired this little number:
It's like my mother always told me...
REENY-REENY-REENY-REENY-REENY-REENY-REENY-REENY-REENY-and coedine
and g_d damnit you little in' punk, if you ain't got nothin' nice to say, then don't say nothin'.
(uhhh...)
that bitch, eat a mother in' dick, chew on a prick, and
Lick a million motherin' cocks per second
I'd rather put out a mother in' gospel record
I'd rather be a whipped bitch
Eat and have lips glued to my face with a clit
Ring in my nose than quit bringin' my flows |

out of the hip hop i mentioned, u compliment me on the lloyd banks/50 cent... lol
their stuff is good, but their lyrics are so stupid and repetative in every song...same old with a different beat. but yea, it always makes me want to get up and dance. |

| hip-hop went to utter right around the time 50 Cent dropped his first album...tbh his debut was good, lotsa good party tunes and stuff but im so sick of hearing about: booze, bitches, blunts, cars, jewelry...hip-hop was/is much more interesting when rappers confront problems/issues in today's culture using eloquent verbal tirades..built over a killer bassbeat of course..imo :p |

Yeah, but that's not rly hip hop. Hip hop's roots are in partying and having a blast. As with house- |

I like the beats of the genre too, I mean Timbaland and Pharrell are two other artists who blow me away with their talent with instrumentals.
I do agree 50cent ruined the scene.
In da club was the only good track he released, all the rest suck major.
Eminem pre-serious was cool.
Tbh I find his funny stuff more entertaining then songs about his childhood/wife/daughter/mother, I don't think he'd really care if I made a record about my childhood, I'd rather keep that to myself then try to get people to love me for copin through it all. |

lol, wtf? This cracks me up.
Hip Hop didn't start with Snoop Dogg and Dr. Dre (much less Lil' Jon and Lloyd Banks).
The most interesting rappers to me are Talib Kweli, Common, The Roots, A Tribe Called Quest, Mos Def, Akon, Afu Ra, Lauren Hill, and even a little Kanye.
Even that Will.I.Am guy from the Black Eyed Peas is more interesting than 50 Cent. Rapping about substance > billz and grillz and hoez. |
