You are aware that automatic transmissions also have gears right? I think the word you are looking for is manual. |

I drive both, but prefer manual transmission.

there's this wonderful option at the car dealership, u wouldn't believe it!!!
u can either chose to have a manual transmition (change the gears yourself) OR u can have automatic! :gsmile: it's great.
so yea, depending on which car u buy...
as for me, i drive an automatic, but i know how to drive a manual. my dad made sure i knew how to drive a manual when i was 15. i'm glad he did because i've been in several situations where it was necessary. |

| the only difference between an automatic transmisison and a manual is that a manual uses a clutch to transfer power from the engine to the gearbox, that and it uses a throw linkeage to shift gears. auto transmissions use a torque converter to transfer power from the engine and use solenoid valves to control gear shifts. |
