They've been quite sly about it. Before, prices were listed in $ so a single for example would have been $1.50. But now the currency has changed for UK users to £ so it's now £1.50 for the same track.
I don't mean to sound a scrooge but that's a good 40-50p increase per track - and after adding 10 tracks to your cart it soon adds up. Especially when I am not all too keen on the whole digital downloads scene in the first place.
I've always stuck with beatport though, because $1.50 was about the max I was willing to pay for something where I don't get something physical in my hand, and nowhere else offers those kinds of prices. If I can't find the hard copy from now on i'll just stick to stealing. 
edit: And sticking to the topic - the new site looks a pile of . Somehow they've managed to make a very unfriendly looking site even worse. Well in boys. |

Yes, beatport still sucks, so does audiojelly... i really liked djdownload.com's old layout, but the new one sucks as well.
Out of all online shops I still prefer saikosounds.com's layout and the fact that they feature 4 mins samples. |

Yeah I miss that feature too. They shouldn't have took it down. For example if anybody were to buy Afterburn - Northpole people might think they would be getting the full length 10:47 version when in fact they are only getting the other promo version of 7:14. My point is that it's very misleading and they should put it back to avoid situations like this. |

Wow, I didn't even know that that feature was taken away. I don't understand how somebody can compare similar tracks in their collection without track times :p Hopefully the community will rally behind it and force them to give it back.
I find the new version a little bit bulky and busy - they seem to be putting a big emphasis on the shiny and brand new look of the site - but it just comes off to me as too much...like Windows XP when it first came out. I think that instead of focusing on design and look, they should focus on usability and making it work better, as well as improving how they do business with smaller labels. I also think that some sort of "users who bought this release also bought X" would be a great addition too.
Regardless, I still love beatport and use it regularly, but there are a lot of improvements can be made. |

| I think it's cool. A little bit harder to navigate especially being so used to the old layout. But like Lucid said, the My Artists/lables thing is pretty slick, as well as the "related" field. I agree the time thing is annoying, I wonder if they thought people didn't like or if they just forgot to add it in. I also like how now on the home page you can browse through the different promo/billboard things instead of waiting for them to come back around. Favorite part though, the arrows actually work! Back goes back for real now, and the forward arrow does something! Yippee!! |

I totally agree with the time thing. I find it very annoying how you have no idea how long the tracks are until you download them. It also seems to be loading a little slower and the samples don't play as well as they used (you used to be able to scroll to different parts in the song right away).

Like everyone else, I'm confused as to why they would remove the track lengths. I liked that feature on Beatport compared to the other download sites.
On the flipside, I really like the fact that you can now click through the ads for new releases on the main page, rather than waiting for each one to appear. |

LOL. I browsed the new BP3 for 15 seconds and it crashed.
And well.. prices have changed from dollars to euros. That means 28% increase of prices in Finland. Have a nice day.. |

they really ed it up. removing the track lenghts! wtf is that about? and the price increase is also unacceptable. and the site is still as gay as it was before. ing flash crap. they won't be getting my business until the track lenghts are back, that's for sure. and after the price increase and totally crappy service etc. i'll rather download from someplace else if it's not much more expensive.
so in conclusion:
