i know there has been threads about this but mm i havent really been informed enough. i own both a pc and a mac so im still not convinced on which sequencer to buy. forget about prices and focus on the features that each sequencer has. to those who own any one of these can you please explain in your opinion the experiences you are having with you fellow sequencer. im more into pluggin in my external synths than using vsti. information appriciated thanks.

1- Logic
2- Cubase
3- Reason

And in all three Cases u will can or will need Ableton Live :D

Logic > all. If you're gonna use hardware synths you can forget about reason.

Logic is the best, it's plug-ins are MUCH better than cubase, even in logic 5.5 BUT cubase is easier and cheaper. You can get some extra plugins for the price of logic. Since you're more interested in using hardware I think cubase has some very interesting features : if your soundcard has enough i/o's you can use your hardware as a vst. Cubase may be a little better in this section allthough logic's environment is very powerful too.

For studio: if mac : logic or cubase, pc : cubase. Beginning w/o hardware: fruity (with some plugins) or reason -not that you can't get pro result with these, they are just great to start- . Live: ableton live

I used to use Logic, now I only use Ableton Live.

I have always used Ableton Live, it so easy to work with, and if you where to Rewire to reason, its really easy.

Im getting the Live 6 soon :D

It's generally accepted that logic has a steaper learning proces than cubase. Having used both, I can only confirm this.

I have used Fruityloops, Cubase, Reason and Ableton Live through the years and I have to say that Ableton is the one i'm most comfortable with.

why can't you just use the search function ? this has been discussed dozens of times already.

Cubase and Logic is a whole different type of sequencer than Reason and Ableton.

I use Cubase, simply cause I learned it first.
