What's a cue, sorry for the newb question.

It is one of two files (the counterpart to the CUE is the BIN) that is used in recording CD's via softwares such as CDRWin and FireBurner.
The file is nothing more than a text file designating track points within the BIN file (which by the way is a RAW IMAGE of a CD). |

Yep.. a cue file sometimes comes with a big mp3.. instead of the .bin /.cue combination
for an example a 70min mp3.. thats one cd.. but ofcourse its quite a bitch to skip through 60 minutes to listen to last track.. so therefore you can use the cue file..
just open up cdrwin.. (when ya want to burn a mp3 with cue to audio)
select something like make new cd.. (top left icon).. the gold disc (woehoe)
load the cue file.. select.. underrun buffer crap protection if yr browser supports that..
i might also be able to explain how to burn svcds (bin + cue) files etc with fireburner..
so just speak up what ya wanna know |

so your saying that if i have a entire CD in one mp3, all i need is a cuesheet to cut up individual songs thru the whole track? o_O
if so, how do u create a cuesheet?
i mean, to create the format

Here ya go.. (ya can ofcourse make yr own cue sheets for live sets :p)
oh yeah.. the cue sheet needs to be in same dir as where the mp3 is.. same name 2.. but than with .cue as extension..
and if ya wanna burn it to audio.. use cdrwin..and follow steps i said before

Ya can also use yr cue file in winamp.. ya need a plugin for winamp though..

I'm still waiting for Nero to get with the program and allow cue sheets on their program. I still have to cut up each track individually. sucks.
The new plug-in for Winamp allows you to combine your cue files to the mp3 now. So the next time you play your mp3 it will automatically be on there. Which means you can delete that 59k file have room for more livesets!

use cdrwin.. to burn yr mp3s (with cue) into wav..
use fireburner to burn yr svcds
use nero for data cds mp3 to audio (without cue)

I only wish Henkie,
my crappy burner (Friendly *Something*) is not compatible with fireburner and CDRwin. So I'm freakin stuck, when I make CDs. It sucks dude. I only burn a liveset if A) I have alot of time or B) I really really like the set.
hahha, I'm screwed until nero makes a patch or newer version.
