Today, someone contacted me with some information about my genealogy out of the blue. Seems that they were doing research on their own family tree and traced it down to my own family tree. Apparently my original family name was von Bendiksen and was changed around World War I to avoid associations with the Germans.
I will now resume carrying my proud name which I can only presume is royal because of the "von" and will now refer to myself as Yuris von Bendiksen.
The rest of you can refer to me now as Duke von Bendiksen as befits the stature of my glorious lineage.

P.S. Help Wanted: Peasants for the duchy. Also, looking to buy a castle, at least 400,000 sq. ft. thx. |

I have decided to legally change my name to Yuris von Bendiksen.
