The doctor that treated John Wilkes Booth for a broken leg after he shot Lincoln was convicted of treason and served part of a life sentence in prison for it.
"Mudd was convicted of treason before a military court and sentenced to life in prison at Fort Jefferson in the Dry Tortugas region of Florida, but released early for his efforts in stemming a yellow fever epidemic."
Source.
This amazes me. A doctor, who is bound under oath to treat everyone that is presented to them in a medical emergency.
:wtf: |

| Yeah, well, the government. The doctor should have the right to treat Osama bin Laden if he really wanted to. |

| Well of course but its ridiculous that they would charge him for it. |
