I posted you a response. Check it out in the previous thread. It's the basics of a good pluck sound. There was a thread AWHILE back on pluck sounds from someone and that's where I got my information from. That warm character in the sound though is REALLY hard to obtain. |

i always thought to make a warm pluck u would detune it or perhaps use a subtle chorus on it? |

Yeah detuning is pretty much needed to get that thick sound to it. Chorus adds the stereo width along with some more detuning when using the right rate. |

You mean this kind of sound?

This is how I made it:
- One saw osc.
- Filter at 45%
- Filter Envelope at 40%
- Short filter decay, About 30-40% (0 Sustain)
- Apply quite alot of compression to the sound to make it snappy.
- EQ
- Delay
- Reverb
- More compression to make the delay "duck".
You might also want to enable unison or add chorus. But I didn't need to do it.
If you use Reason I can send you the patch. |

Another way to make the sound more snappy is to make the filter decay convex by modulating the decay with the filter envelope in the mod matrix. |

yeah Eldritch that sample is damn good. |
