what an interesting day this was....

So i got up and out of the house around 11am... (jet lagged sleep-ins are awesome.)and headed off to the station... i find the tube to be quite straight forward now... and easy enough to follow... most things take max 20-25mins to get to in this city which isnt too bad when you think about it. I headed down to london bridge to have lunch with my friend ian @ this nice little thai restraunt facing the thames... tres pituresque. we walked over london bridge, took some pics, and went to starbucks. It apparently is the oddest thing for someone to ask for soy milk to pour into their coffee here, unless its a soy latte. So i had them all in awe as i poured soymilk into my normal coffee...haha. then ian had to head back to work (bankers, investing kinda thing).... so i went off for a walk along thames... which ended up with me all the way @ bank station, for those of you who have been here you will realise thats a fairly long way. I took bank to oxforcircus on the underground which took a day and a night because they had to make an emergency stop, which ended up with us being stuck with a million people like sardines in the tube... for about a half hour. I finally got out and took a walk along oxford, bond, and carnabey street. visited all the shops....didnt buy anything tho... SHOCKING I KNOW. Its odd here.... there are video surveilance cameras EVERYWHERE. this country is like big brother. (the movie v for vendetta is totally applicable.) I then had to head home because I was going out in the evening so i headed back to the east end. For those of you who have been following the whole terrorist hunt in london, you will realise that they found many of the supposid bombers in the east end of london. Walking home I walked by 3 house raids and 5 car searches (like tearing the roofs of the cars off and the seats out...) what makes me even more uncomfortable/ shocked is that the gbuys who were having this done to them were all whistling and cat calling to me while cops tore their cars apart... following this.... 10 muslim boys...(im assuming this because there is a muslim ghetto right near us) followed me home. My cousin lives in a condo building that mostly houses bankers, and it is gated off because its not exactly in the nicest area.... so here i am wearing a skirt, and he wasnt able to cut me a key because it is a tag opperated gate... so here i am, supposed to jump the gtae (which is 6 feet+) and about 5 feet behind me is a group of young teenage-20 something year old muslim boys harrassing me because i cant get in... SO UN COM FORT ABLE. finaaaaalllly someone walked by and opened the gate and i got in... but im kinda scared to go out again today. The men here, never mind in the enighbourhood, but london in general have NO SHAME. my cousin has had to stare down many, and push a couple guys away from me... its super scary, i dont feel comfortable at all... It has been a long time since i have been in down town london.,.. and never have i been older than 15, so it has never been a problem to have mens eyes following...

im looking forward to staxy coming to visit... and moving over to kensington to our own hotel... for some reason this gives me more of a sense of security.

im off to the countryside to visit my aunt this afternoon. hopefully that goes well.

miss and love you all

All jokes aside, don't let that bother you, your vacationing. Have a good time! Try and move somewhere in Central London even before Stacey gets there.
