| lol. you probably are an awful driver. most people are really defensive about their driving skills. even if they're blatantly bad, they still insist and believe they're good at it. a friend of mine hit a toaster in the middle of the road once, never even saw it. she also drives up curbs all the time, cant park (especially not parallel) and has already crashed her car in the couple months she's had her license. according to her, she's a great driver... |

| I got 100 on my drive test, and 90 on my written. First time for each. |

| I dont know what my scores were but I must have passed because I got my first time too. Somehow now I've molded from a somewhat easy going small town driver to the guy everyone hates because I'm a fast, rude, aggressive driver, never obeying the speed limit and weaving from lane to lane trying to get wherever I'm going as fast as I possibly can |

And you consider yourself as a good driver? |

indeed :p
I exagerated in my last post a bit but to be honest, most of my friends dont mind and often insist I drive because while I do weave through lanes, etc I do it smoothly and with control. I'm not the crazy who looks over my shoulder and while doing it, kinda turns the wheel a little and has to quickly correct myself to keep from hitting the car next to me (you'd be suprised how many people do that ). I've learned to be pretty fluid about my driving, and most people appreciate that I cut off a solid chunk of the expected drive time. It helps in situations where you're running a little late :D |

I'm impatient when I drive, but I don't weave or tailgate or whatever, unless there's a good sized opening. I'll hit maybe 10-12 over the speed limit, fast enough to let the cops not care about me. |

to our southern neighbor chicago, the whole state of wisconsin is infamous for having slow drivers. everytime I come home (parents house) from milwaukee, which certainly has its fair share of lead footed drivers, I feel like time itself is slowing down. everyone drives the speed limit and looks at you like you just raped their mother if you speed. Even the state troopers have a saying "9 you're fine, 10 you're mine" meaning if you go 10 over the limit, theyll stop you.
I dont tailgate unless the car in front of me is in the fast lane going unneccesarily slow and they have plenty of room to move over but dont, in which I usually just go around. I try not to, but I have been flipped off before for tailgating. |

are you failing the written or the actual driving part?
failing the written then its about studying more and paying attention to questions on the test youve seen before(that can help you out when you failed them from a previous test)
as for the driving part, it might be the car your driving.take the test with the smallest car possible(someone you know must have a really small car you can use)then ,using the small car think back to the problems your having on the course and recreate them in a parking lot.have an PATIENT adult supervise and make sugestions(they've been driving for a while).
practice with the car for 3 days straight before your next test and if possible get up early before the test to practice so you dont go into the test "cold"
dont forget to know where everything is on the vehicle you drive! turn signals lights etc. especially the parking brake! this is the first thing most instuctors ask you other then your seatbelt.
finally, and no offence to any instuctors here that arent. but most driving instructors are tossers. especially the older ones.a lot of them have nothing better to do then to make your life miserable on the course(yes they are there to teach but some take it to the extreme).
most are older retirees who are already bitter with society as a whole, and the fact that your young makes it even worse for them as they relize they no longer are and are at the end of their lives.
and i still remember what was said to me about me first instructor which really made sense to me at the time and helped me calm down and that was: "he has nothing better to do then to make you miserable before he goes home to feed his 15 cats"
harsh? maybe. but i bet a lot of young people could tell you some great stories about there older driving instructors. |

if u cant pass in any other country, u havent a chance in the UK
took me 3 attempts though i know ppl whove taken 6-10 attempts (ouch thats alot of money)
by the third time i was just so anal and bitter about failing the 2 previous ones that i was just going to drive perfectly just so that the examiner had nothing to bitch about |
