villa and forest have never won the champions league. and never will.it is a different cup now. stop getting hung up on this old time history bull, makes no sense for seedings.

and if Chelsea is so good it shouldn't matter for them if they are seated on 1, 2 or 4.
if they wanna join the club of the european elite they have to deserve this spot by winning against other great teams such as barca. |

i would consider the european elite to be barca and chelsea.
and im not saying it matters but it is just absurd to put chelsea and lyon in the 2nd pool.

Please you seriously need to go out more often... as for Chelsea getting the pot B, that's what they get for NOT winning the CL, is that too difficult to understand?
Just too funny how Mourprickhno whines about Real Madrid getting a top seed when we at least WON the CL once in the past 5 years, what has Chelsea accomplished in Europe? They have always choked and my God, if they keep this pace, crying before even playing, they won't even make it to semis. |

Yeah we heared a 100 times now. But what is the reason that Chelsea deserves to be in pot 1? What makes Chelsea better than the 8 teams that are top seated???
They won the premier league the last 2 years...cool. Lyon won the french league 5 times in a row but didn't have any success in Champions League.
With what kind of formula you would seed the teams??? It's the only way to compare teams from different european countries by taking their results from previous champions league seasons... |

And it's funny: All the time Chelsea was a small club in England and no one knew about them in the rest of europe. Than the russian billionare appeared and bought all these stars who gave a about Chelsea all the years before.
Now Chelsea won 2 premier league championships in a row... the only titles for 50 years!!! And because of these 2 tiny little titles Chelsea fans think their team is on the same level like Arsenal, Liverpool, ManU, Real Madrid, Barcelona, Milan, Valencia or Munich... teams that won a lot of titles in their own country and in europe.
Money can buy you good players and some success, but money can't buy you a tradition and prestige. |
