They are PROPER football clubs with a rich history at home and in Europe, they haven't gone out and bought 2 league titles, they spent money yes, but nothing like the money (proportionally) Chelsea have invested. They had sustained success (Forrest anyway) and Villa have won a European cup.

And how dare you dismiss trophies other clubs have won "because its a different cup now"? Many people would argue its actually easier to win the thing now. When it was the European cup you couldn't afford to lose even 1 game.

Valencia won a UEFA cup and reached 2 (I think) Champs League finals under Benitez a few years ago, Man U won it in 99 (admittedly they've been poor in it since), Arsenal were finalists last year and have been in it every year almost, Liverpool won it in 2005, need I go on?
All of these clubs have more history, prestige, class than Chelsea will ever have. You should be in pot 5

dont make me laugh the champions league is a lot harder to win. alot more strenuous and you need to be more consistent as the tournament progresses.
as for being clueless chelsea fan i am clearly not. i ing love football, so off :stongue: bet you didnt ing drive all the way to germany for the world cup.
chelsea are a hated team, yes, that comes with the terrority of being champions, but chelsea command alot of respect.

How can it be easier when you can lose games? I happen to prefer the current format but I don't think you can argue its harder to win/more valuable now? Theres more games to play yes but how can it be when you can lose games and still be champions, you don't even have to be the Champion of your own league to win the "Champions League", as proved time and time again....

Where is your evidence that Chelsea "command a lot of respect"? Of course your team is strong and in that respect other teams respect you, but I'm on about your club/fans/history.
