Nope. I'm 99% positive the squares in the FL playlist have to be squares, I don't think Shift or Control can cut them up. |

While this doesn't actually pertain to Crash's question, I have to aver that you can, in fact, cut patterns as small as the step length goes. It doesn't produce a pattern that is smaller than a four stepper, but there is a new pattern nonetheless. If you really feel the need, the pattern length can be changed by alterring the amount of steps in the pattern. |

Don't know if this was mentioned, but in Cubase: when you have a maximized window (mixer, sequencer), and open a vst panel or the pool, the window stops being maximized (whatever the proper phrase for it is). Workspaces kind of make it easier, but still... why??
Also, the automation tracks - I hate it how they're way below all the other tracks. And I know you can drag them under instruments, but then you in have to scroll all the time, and that blows because cubase doesn't respond to the mouse wheel half the time. Blah... |

And personally, I would really like to see the Steinberg team spend a lot more time fixing bugs and design flaws than making cute new plugins that offer precious little over well-established 3rd-party software. |
Yeah, the more I think about this the more I agree. Lot's of people including myself are really getting annoyed at the bugs and design flaws. |

Softsynths - Please do away with wee little knobs and use sliders instead. Knobs are a ty analogy that adapts the look of real gear on the expense of usability. Hardly anyone makes knobs that are as usable as sliders or graphic controls. You have a dynamic control surface, use it!
Buzz - where do I start? :) |

Drag the automation track above or beneath the MIDI track
for a better overview. Don't be lazy ;).
Import the MIDI file and select one of the MIDI tracks you just imported.
Then from the menu: MIDI > Open List Editor.
In there select all the Controller entries from the left
(you basically just want to keep the Note entries),
then press delete.
Presto! No more annoying changing of presets and ALWAYS works.
Hope this will help you a bit with your annoyances :).
