i use vinyl mode... and when im about to mix and i need to make corrections i change it to cdj incase i push the wheel too hard... makes the song stop

ps i like vinyl mode more, but i voted cdj:o

oh...
i voted thinking it was cdj vs vinyl...
i wish i had cdj's but i only have decks w/ serato.
lol

I have and learned with CDJ-200, so I use the CDJ Mode.
I think the Vinyl mode it's more common, beacuse when I play live always the DJ playing before me has it on Vinyl Mode.
I don't know how to use Vinyl mode, I think it's just what makes you feel more comfortable.

Some have said that the CDJ mode it's more accurate, so I guess I have learned the best Method =).
Trogdor
I think it just depends on whether you learned on vinyl decks or CDJs.

I learned on vinyl, and could never get used to my CDJ-100. So, I bought 1000s, exclusively use vinyl mode, and love them to bits.

I am incapable of cueing a track in CDJ mode... :(

I'm just so used to making my corrections/cueing in vinyl mode that the stutter throws me off....

Also, I didn't realize CDJ mode was more accurate...

That used to be me until i jumped onto a mates cdj-200's at a party and was forced to use cdj mode. Its awkward at first, but after you've got it worked out you'll kick your self for not working it out earlier.

Its more accurate becasue you can hear when the cue point is right up on, or just before the beat. But then again, djs used real vinyl without any cdj stutter mode for years and made do.

Best advice. At least know how to use both. Don't stick to one 100% becasue you never know when you'll rock up to a club and see 2 cdj200 after using vinyl mode your whole life :nervous:.
