As much as he was an annoying presentator, I enjoyed the Crocodile Hunter. Learned a lot over the years.

This makes me so sad!! I used to watch crocodile hunter all the time, his kids are only babies.

I actually always assumed he would die from a car crash or something completely unrelated to all the crazy animal stunts he pulled, such a shock.

Very sad news. Crocodile Hunter Steve brought many hours of entertainment/infotainment to my life and it is unfortunate that new generations of fans will only know him through re-runs.

His wife and children always were a big part of his life (and shows) and ultimately the man died doing what he loved best - teaching the world about nature in wild and daring ways. Steve put a unique twist on his wilderness/conservation passion and pioneered a captivating way of spreading his message.

RIP.
