ripped:

- Everything's borrowed
- How much is the fish?
- We are the greatest
- the millenium
- I was made for loving you
- Eyes without a face
- Rebel Yell
- Last Minute
- Back in the UK
- I'm Raving
- Ramp!
- ...

Damn, there are so much :stongue:
+ you don't recognise everything, cause some of the original songs are thousands of years old.

They copied stuff from Ron van den Beuken, Alex Morph, Fictivision, C-quence, Whiteroom and much more. It's almost impossible to name all the tracks they used melodies and styles from.

However, Some of their stuff was and is really good and well produced.

Tunes like those are obvious covers. People who know for example Billy Idol made the original song also know that Scooter's song is a cover. Those who don't know are stupid. :happy2:

Much of the stuff they've produced would have been great hits among scooter-haters if it wasn't for the fact that the tracks are titled scooter - track title.

yeah, like Scooter - Trance-Atlantic which is a superb tune
Lunar Phase 7
I still think the Ratty Alias of thiers is fantastic.

Both mixes of the track sunrise are mind blowing. The original mix for that haunting vocal.

And

The Instrumental for that gorgeous guitar and synth work in the breakdown.

The crunchy acid riff that drops with the bass drum as well after being totally chilled out works incredibly well. And basically it's a ing sick tune.

Sunrise is huge, the breakdown is one of the most beautiful ever in a trance tune.

The "instrumental" is actually the same track as Scooter - Sunrise (Ratty's Inferno), which was featured on the single Scooter - She's The Sun. The guitar in the breakdown is the guitar used in the single mix of She's The Sun. :)

how odd, was only the other day i remembered another version of that tune which i'd recorded off the radio onto tape once, & not heard in years. was going to create a thread about it but looks like you've possibly just answered the question...

does the guitar sound a little like the one from toca me? i remember thinking that at the time

Yes, you're right. It's some kind of pluck-guitar sound, like the one in Toca Me. They reworked She's The Sun for the single release and added the guitar melody that is also backed with a little synth sequenced the same way as the guitar.

awesome, cheers. definitely looking out for that one as i initially preferred it over the song to the siren excerpt.. been a while though, can't remember how it goes!

Pretty much every song is a cover or has some ripped, or "stolen", melody in it.

Thank you "Active Sight" for the soundbank!!! :whip:

M.I.K.E was FURIOUS against them in 2002 when they ripped "strange world"'s melody and the singer when he says somethong about an "Ice Cream man"...

LOL that's one of the couple of tracks where they used some unauthorized elements, for one reason or the other, and to my knowledge that has been settled long ago.. if i'm wrong, i doubt Scooter would still be as happily producing the crap they are doing. I hope you people don't really think an "artist"/group like Scooter would still be around if they had been actually ripping off material without permission for 12 years in a row? They are/have been such cheapass b******s for sure for stealing stuff and "stealing" stuff according to bashing masses but they do have got permission to most of the tracks and elements they have "ripped off" and when you change a note here a second there, it's not the same composition anymore... so lame but i guess they like to do it.

And the lyrics of Weekend weren't about an Ice Cream man as relating to M.I.K.E.? in any way but "respect to the man in the ice cream van" which was a shout referring to the KLF.
