i never said clubs should be forced to close at 3, they should just stop selling alcohol then...

imo many clubs in ny would be better off if they didn't sell alcohol. But Economically that wouldnt make much sense

I think we'd all be better off if your user name weren't "sandstorm" ( :p ) But I think you can see that the point is freedom of choice.

P.S. Assuming the cause-and-effect relationship between drinking and being killed, which is what the legislators are doing, is absurd. I should look up statistics on circumstances of all murders committed in NYC. Chances are there aren't a majority that occur after leaving bars. Maybe we should focus on gun control or social programs for the poor instead, or getting kids off the streets and into after-school activities. There's an idea! Or let's take the easy way out and remove freedoms, and I would go so far as to say RIGHTS, then we can all go to church on Sunday instead of drinking on Saturday night. Yea, that's much easier than improving more complicated issues.

We recently received a message from Quo about its closing. Oh Quo! Has it been 3 years already? Now the sand box is gone and we hardly knew ya! Is Quo a victim of nightlife under seige on 28th street or just the same old story of nightclubs come and gone?

Apparently there are 2 new nightclub projects opening next month in October -
MYST and RETOX. As if West Chelsea didn't have enough going on right now. If you have the inside scoop, send it over to [email protected]. We'll publish all news, gossip and propoganda!

What we really want to know is what's going to happen with all that sand??? We hear Harry's Water Taxi is running low. Then there's always Glowbana...

I was there once, not even long enough to get a drink, though, so I don't remember a sandbox. We went for someone's B-day prior to Sasha @ Crobar once, so we left within 15 minutes. It really didn't seem that fun to me. Crowd seemed older (late 20s-early 30s) and the music wasn't impressing me. I do remember a couple of interesting looking special events that we considered going to.
