the problem here is that most of the high maintainance ones are actually average at best, and so them getting on their high horse & being picky over guys is silly.

Ive only dated one person...and ive already given her a diamond ring.
Im kind of a no bull no games, very open communication, if you are mad tell me about it, etc...person.
She tried a few times to play the silent game but you just say that you arent stupid and if they dont want to talk then they can call you back when they trust you enough not to fly off the handle when they tell you whats wrong.
Because thats what it usually is in the end. A respect and a trust issue. Not talking means they dont respect you or dont trust you. Playing games same thing. Not calling you for days, same thing.
If you trust and respect someone you communicate, appreciate, and work things out in equal measure.
High-maintenance is synonymous with someone with wildly low self esteem who doesnt trust and respect themselves so they keep testing you and being distant to see if you REALLY trust and respect them.
Confidence is sexy because there is no bull and you dont spend your days telling them "YES , for the love of GOD I ACTUALLY THINK YOU ARE COOL"
....

Low maintenance means they are cool enough to know it.

to me high maintenance is a girl i got to take out on a regular basis and likes to do things everytime we go out, and has expensive taste etc.
