Not so much, the only other reason to get the 1000mk3, is hot cues. If you plan to do a lot of remixxing live, hot cues/hot loops is awesome. If you plan to just mix, cdj 200, will be the ideal choice.
If you got time, check out www.djresource.nl they got some videos there of comparison of each cdj (200,800mk2,1000mk3).

That's a GOOD DEAL. That's below cost. The CDJ-200s do "work just fine" for most people. I prefer the vinyl emulation, though. I can't stand mixing with a stutter cue. It all depends on what you feel you want and/or need. The 1000s add vinyl emulation, hot cues, hot loops, a wave display, saving on a memory card, reverse, loop-in adjust, wide pitch, and platter adjustment. If you don't want any of that, the the CDJ-200s will suit you fine.

Try to find second hand CDJ 1000 MK2s. You could get them for like $700 or $800 a piece...

+1

Well, I could also get the 800MK2's at 560/pc, though, then comes the difference in tempo precision which is why I didnt really consider them.

Don't worry about the pitch increments. They're fine. The CDJ-1000 is .02 only at 6%.

Yeah I think .05% is just fine.

How good ARE your ears, anyway? ;)

Tbh I've had to put up with 0.2% increments in clubs many a time before (on old rackmount Denon CD decks) and my CD decks at home have 0.1% increments so 0.05% is a luxury!!

Although I've just got myself a CDJ800 actually, which is nice... still using 2 CDJ100s though

I own 2 CDX and I'm very happy with them...

Like you say, the major difference is the pitch control 0.1 Numark 0.02 Pioneer. That is all !
The vinyl feel on the Numark is great, something the pioneer doesn't even come close to; also cue'ing tracks with the numarks are more fun and goes easier than with Pioneers...Also if you intend to use CDJ mode instead of vinyl mode, numark has an advantage.

I know pioneer is industry standard, but you always pay for the name 'Pioneer' too; and IMO they're just a little too expensive for what they are; but their accurate pitch control is so damn amazing.

I should reconsider it if I were you, but if you really have the money and intend to play in clubs then go for Pioneer CDJ's :).

(I always have to laugh at people who say "there is no comparison" without even properly knowing both systems... seems pathetic to me)

Push2005, have you had any reliability or quality issues? I am considering a CDX for home/bedroom DJ use, but before I drop the cash, I want to be sure I'm getting quality. A lot of comments here have left me questioning the build quality of the CDX. Thanks.
